Is it just me or does Castle look a little bow-legged?
You know who I was saying looks like this is Tatum who walks like his knees bend reverse

Was thinking all playoffs how Tatum walks bowlegged like an antelope on it's hind legs

I really want to be excited by this guy. I do. But smaller Sochan just does not move the needle for a team needing an offensive boost as well. If only we could have also gotten an offense-first microwave type guy at 8, but the 2030s are more important.
?? Sochan never played point guard prior to last year…. They are two different animals.

Castle is a dog I had him over Risacher. I think he’s ahead of Sarr but I’d probably taken Sarr since we need a big versatile PF also and ones like Sarr are rare. At worst I had him as a coin flip with Sheppard but I like the leaning to towards defense I want the laughable blowouts and career high scoring crap against us to stop ASAP and Castle is as good a ticket as any for that.

Throw in that he can possibly be our PG solution and that sells me.

Well, at least we got Castle, presumably by accident.
What do you mean by accident?

Sarcasm. He’s one who’s mad that we didn’t take and keep 8 or 35. By accident, Spurs forgot to trade Castle.

I love the Castle pick. I think that he can score 10 pts a game on backdoor cuts with Wemby passing from the high post.

He was Connecticut's leading scorer in the tourney, at age 19, btw. His ceiling is high. It was telling hearing Coach Hurley talk about Castle's parents and his work ethic. It sounds like a strong fit.

Wemby, Sochan, Castle, Wesley could be a very disruptive lineup. Hopefully we can add a couple of lengthy 3-4's and have a respectable team.

I keep thinking of the inverted pick and rolls the Spurs ran last year, mostly after the All Star break. Now I’m thinking of 6’6” 210 Castle setting a bone jarring pick instead of 6’2” 190 Tre Jones, receiving the over the top flip pass from a doubled Wemby, and now Castle has the ball in a 4 on 3 situation, barreling downhill to the rim.

that's exactly where he will be most efficient in the beginning. His strength, wing span and footwork come in handy there.

It's all about potential in the lottery your not going to get a another Wemby in your lifetime so you just hedge your bets. Yeah, looking at him he has things he needs to work on but you have very good building blocks of someone who was a top 3 defender in this draft, and someone who can take it to the rim and still find Wemby when he is open. I am happy with the pick if he can improve his shooting he has a legit chance to be the best player from this draft.
