Weirdest matchup so far is BYU v Colorado in the Alamo Bowl. When has there ever been a previous time that two teams from the same conference play each other in a bowl game?

Not really, but if you're gonna lose, it really is better to lose early to a great team.

But I'm off the opinion it's better to have a cake non conference schedule and get the best record you possibly can

SEC needs more in conference games so Texas does not miss Tenn, Ole Miss, etc… in one conference season. I personally fancy the big conf games, but we don’t know entirely if a schedule is really “easy” BEFORE the games are played. I like watching big games. Ohio St out of conference is exciting. We can go there and beat them again and snap win streak at home. That’s the best.
