I’ll go with Sochan tbh. Let’s go with 32% from Sochan and 30% for Castle.

It looks like Castle's problem is he tends to lean backwards when taking some of his shots. That's an easy fix.
The mechanics of Sochan's shot are still a bit wonky.
both are gonna shoot under 33%. Castle definitely looks like the better shooter though.
both would fit in right with Thomas Matthew Crooks in terms of shooting prowess tbh
I don't get the comparison tbh
Castle is an easy fix compared to Sochan's
Sochan shoots a higher percentage, but Castle shows himself as the better shooter.
Sochan this year if things go as expected ends up shooting 34, maybe 35% on like 3 3s a game, but those 3s are wide open with nobody within 5 feet of him.
Castle probably shoots a lower percentage, and might not hit 33%, but some of those are going to be stepbacks, off the dribbles, contested 3s at hopefully higher volume. Jalen suggs shot 21% on 4 3s a game his rookie year, even if Castle is that bad so long as he's showing continued willingness to take 3s and his FTs hold up, I'll be ok with it.

I think so too.
From what I have seen so far, Castle's hands and shooting mechanics are mostly fine the way he releases the ball and his problem seems to be inconsistency in the way his body leans while shooting. There seems to be a tilt when he shoots from the left side of the arc and an unnatural body positioning while trying to shoot off the dribble or by stepping back. Prime facie..these seem fixable through practice. This doesn't seem like a major mechanical issue like Sochan's whose shooting motion has a pronounced hitch and unnatural hand positioning / plus side spin etc.. that make it a difficult ask to correct.
Please don’t insult castle like this
I am more concerned with Sochan's overall BBIQ.
who will make more 3's?
Dilly or Castle/Sochan/Tre/Zollins combined
Easily the spurs players. Dilly unlikely contributes this year. Twolves are hoping Conley gives them two seasons before Dilly moves in full time.
kind of bewildered every time I read people saying "it"s an easy fix" about a bad shooter... If it was such an easy fix, then why didh't he fix it already? Castle didn't discover yesterday his shoot was bad.
you can't blame bad College development, there's millions and a NBA career at stake, and these kids and their personal coaches/agents know how important shooting is... If it was such an easy fix, not saying it would be perfect, but Castle shooting woudln't be that bad entering the NBA.
I do'nt see Castle shooting over 30% on 3 his first year, and 40% overall (lets not act as ifit was just a 3 pt issue, his overall shooting is pretty bad too so far in summer league).

Castle's shot is not bad. Apparently he shoots lights out in practice like any other NBA player. What he struggles with is in-game shooting which in his case is fixable through experience and reps. He might need 1-2 seasons, but he'll get his efficiency up to that point.
allegedly dwight howard was a great free throw shooter in practice
