ffs..we are never gonna develop castle with this ty team.i expect tre and branham to get playing time over castle.
Its just the way we operate. We did the same to white and murray.
That was a freak accident. Spurs are lucky it wasn’t worse than a sprain

It's the Spurs, we invented sitting guys at the mere thought of a potential injury.
Literally no point in watching summer league now
Were either of them a top 5 pick in the draft?
He'll get plenty of time either starting or coming off the bench. My money is on him starting at SF, even if he's a little undersized for the position.
Gonna watch the first quarter then I'm out. LOLOL
Dude nearly broke his wrist and was noticeably off after going down, but people are upset he's shut down? These games are meaningless and won't matter come October - November.
White and Murray were late first round picks, not #4. We also had a cast of vets surrounding them at that point. Were they supposed to bench HoF Tony Parker for rookie Murray?
Castle is going to play. He may not start day one, but he will be on the court health-willing.
This is a rough watch.
Folks who wanted Risacher should stick around and watch the game tbh
Cissoko playing good D
#59 for the Spurs SL looks like they did the numbers on the back of the jersey with white duct tape.
Don't the Spurs still have one Two-Way and one regular roster spot free?
These UDFA's and G-League guys are still playing to possibly fill one of those spots.
want to see sidy and ingram to outplay risacher...That would be cool.
no castle rest of the summer league
The Spurs organization is honestly too conservative with these injuries, treating a 19-year old kid as if he were a 39-year old veteran. They need to do a cost-benefit analysis here. The benefit of shutting down Castle is that you eliminate the risk that he re-injures the wrist. Okay. But the cost is that he doesn’t get any more reps from playing in summer league and playing in game situations as the lead ball handler. To me, the risk of re-injuring the wrist is relatively smaller than the benefit of getting more playing time.
I personally would have sat him one or two games to let him heal up, then put him back on the floor, instead of sitting him out of summer league entirely. They’re just being way too cautious, in my view.
Yes, sprained his wrist on that nasty fall he took last night. Spurs being precatious with the injury so he's shut down.
ing Ingram not only being useless but actively sabotaging the team with that hit on Castle
nah no sense in even risking it over summer league
there's enough data, Castle is who we thought he was
moving on
agreed...he may not get this chance for awhile.Even its just summer league,Think it would help him alot getting these reps handling
the ball.
Looks like K Bufkin is on the roster but DNP what am I missing here is he injured or something
this should be duke jr time to shine and hes out to wtf. This team needs some fire power.
When I saw that he wouldn't play today I instantly knew it was because of that fall on his wrist. Not surprised he's done with SL.
I have to say, I really like the summer league format. 40 minute games, fewer commercial breaks, the game is over in 1 1/2 hours. Much better than the 2 1/2 hour slog of most NBA games.
