Is Milner Jr like Brian Wright’s neighbors kid? How does he keep getting invited to the team?
The summer league team?
Who gives a ?

Mensah is solid. Wonder if he’s in the running for one of the two-ways.
I have to say, the ball movement in this Spurs team has been awfully impressive.
Ingram can’t make a shot
It’s typical of the Spurs to shut down their top pick after like two games in Vegas anyway. So, he’s going home a game early with a sprained wrist.
Risacher really feels like a Rashard Lewis type to me.
Yeah, for their second year players.
I always thought that Austin Spur Jeff Ledbetter was like RC’s illegitimate son. He had the ability to shoot, so was the PG(?) and got invited back year after year, even when he bolted to greener pasture and more money the year before.
Trevino was pretty damn bad at the start of summer league, but he's improved a lot in such a short span of time.
Wemby played two games last year. Sidy doesn’t seem to be going home yet.
Good thing we were able to easily get that kind of player in Harrison Barnes.
This ragtag outfit is 2-0 in Vegas.
Of course, that's Wemby. But IIRC, Sidy played the whole summer league.
Yeah, Sidy is a second round pick and needs a lot more seasoning than Wembanyama or Castle.
Castle can get reps in Summer workouts and during training camp/preseason, so risking further injury in meaningless games is asking for trouble.
Does anyone know what happened to Djurisic? He started the game and looked pretty good but then disappeared never to return. Injury?
Vassell played 2 games in 2021. Doesn't look like Sochan played any games in 2022.
Okay, fine, I concede. Castle was probably going to be shut down early anyway, so it’s not so bad that he’s being held out now.
Iirc Sochan was hurt during what would have been his summer league
don’t recall Vassell
meanwhile primo was playing in summer league in year 2 as well
Youngest player in the draft
Obviously it's too early to conclude anything but Risacher played exactly how I feared he'd play. He's tall and moves pretty well but I'd be scared as a Hawks fan that he doesn't even try to make plays in summer league. Can't draft Harrison Barnes No. 1.
Even Doris Burke and the other announcer were getting frustrated that he wasn’t involved more. Risacher is playing like who he’s been from the start. They can force feed him, and he’d get hot some games, but it’d start to be painstakingly obvious that an offense should never be built around him. Being the 1st pick would mean the Hawks would put pressure on him to be the top option on offense someday, and they’re going to fail miserably at it. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body.
Man Sarr really ed the Hawks over. They couldn't draft Sheppard to play next to Trae's half pint ass, and did Castle even work out for them with Trae and Dejounte there? They should have still taken Sarr. Risacher's scouting report looked like Barnes with less defense. At the time I would have still wanted him at 4 if he fell there AND if the Spurs could have traded up to 5 to get Castle but think I'd rather have that unprotected 2031 pick from MIN, the unprotected 2031 swap with SAC, and the top 1 protected 2030 swap from MIN over Risacher.
It's possibly the best SL team the Spurs have had since 2016. I'm not trying to imply the team is better without Castle. But in terms of what the summer league wants, I think they're going to be fine. Bouyea is a lead guard who has been seasoned for this level of play, and Ward has potential. Ingram has to iron out his play, but he's still helpful out there most of the time. I know timvp has been been down on Cissoko, but I've liked what I've seen from him compared to last year. As weird as it sounds, Mensah is possibly the best summer big the team has had (not counting Wemby) since Cory Jefferson. It's summer league, so the talent isn't great and is more inconsistent than anything else. Coaching is a bigger swing value than anything right now. If Trevino is good and is allowed to coach to win, they have a shot.
Sidy’s got to be more aggressive with that (admittedly ugly) shot. I noticed a number of his usually dazzling passes get picked off [4 TO] as the defense sagged way off the jumper.
