He can't do with 1:31 to go, 3 timeouts and needing only a FG to win the game in regulation.
He really needed a fake pass interference call or similar bull like #1 gets on the regular.
Maybe his line being able to hold at will would also promote Joe.

    You Burrow Haters are pathetic.

"Joe (Burrow) actually did a great job getting us out of it back into a run because the look was not there to throw it."

I posted that same literal quote one post below. As if that saving face comment would change anything.

I have no idea what you're spinning.

Bottom line what you are attemtpting to fabricate:

Patty gets bailed out by bogus ref calls and record setting FGs = Patty genius.

Joe B gets his team to the same spot -legitimately and without BengalREf- while holder and/or kicker pooch the FG = Joe sucks Patty is great.

Mahomes is a 3 times SB champion, Burrow is barely over .500 in his career. That's the difference. Burrow needs to do more to get the same benefit of the doubt.

So now calls are based on previous SB experience + Taylor Swift marketing dollars.
    Vs fairness.

Head to head Joey B played Mahomes to an absolute tie and pending OT.
We saw the super holds by the square dancing WWE Chief lineman.
Combined with moron Bengals rookie who hit's Mahomes two steps out of bounds.

    But somehow that's on Joe.
    Wow.

SuperBowl it's be do ented. Aaron Donald clearly lines up offside with his helmet eclipsing the ball. Auto 1st down for Joey B and the Bengals with 57 seconds to go on the Rams 40 yard line? Nope, his last name is not Mahomes. No call, Donald gets the *sack*, game over.

RRRRRRaaaagh great plays Patty. You suck Joe.

You are the only one talking about calls here. I'm talking about whether or not Burrow deserves the semen shielding he gets.

I’m not even trying to hate on Burrow but this statement from the coach was nonsense. Jamar Chase was in man coverage with no safety help over the top and Baltimore was stacking the box against Cinci in OT. Three straight running plays on that drive made no sense.

im also not sure i buy the coach’s story that it was Burrow’s idea to go into cuck mode on that drive. Seems like that’s the last thing a quarterback wants to do.

Why would Taylor lie about that, though? That could create animosity from his star QB towards him.

I don't think he'd outright lie but I think he might have been telling half truths about whether Burrow really had total discretion to audible into a run or a pass....like yes, maybe Burrow technically audibled into a run, but it could have been because of an instruction he was given to audible into a running play unless the defense was showing certain opening(s).

Joe going into cuck mode and not wanting to pass all three times?

Ya i don't believe that bull at all.

12 TD / 2 INT. Can't argue with his results.

He's had the worst defense and special teams in the league. Don't think Brady wins any of his first three Super Bowls without having both of those components. Holders and kickers who can execute a kick in a Boston blizzard vs. units who bungle that basic operation on a nice warm sunny day.

The results are that he's barely above .500 for his career. Way below that these past couple of seasons. His replacement, Browning, has a better record than him.

Again, Burrow is clearly a top 10 QB in the league, maybe even top 5. So don't missinterpret what I'm saying. He's not the unquestionable #2, though. He hasn't prove enough to have that le.

I'll add you one more thing: it is impossible to prove but I'm sure guys like Mahomes, Allen and Lamar wouldn't be 1-4 right now if they were the QBs of the Bengals.

Mahomes, there's no doubt, he did it for years with the Chiefs before they got a good defense. He'll probably be 4-1 or 5-0.

Allen and Lamar I'm sure that, at the very least, wouldn't have lost to the Pats scoring only 10 pts.

Eh. Week 1s and 2s are wonky. Allen lost at home to the pathetic 2021 Stoolers in week 1 2021 with terrible offense despite it being his overall best year in gaudy stats. Lamar lost at home to the putrid Raiders with no QB in week 2 this year. Mahomes lost at home in week 1 last year to Detroit, granted Detroit was a lot better and the drops were the issue on offense not Mahomes. I can't even begin to count how many bad week 1's and 2's guys like Brady and Rodgers had in their primes and ended up winning 12-13 games despite starting 1-2.

Meanwhile, is Jackson even the best black QB in his own state? There might be one in Prince George's County Maryland sitting pretty at 4-1 right now and commanding the division, pun intended.

    My current rankings:

    1) Mahomes

    2) Burrow
    3) Goff
    4) Stroud
    5) Daniels
    6) Allen
    7) Rodgers
    8) Jackson
    9) Stafford
    10) Herbert

I'm not going to knee jerk reaction to something like Darnold's solid first five weeks, it's week 5 and they're carried by the defense and we've seen Minnesota flame out early before and we know who Darnold is by this point.

On the up since preseason: Daniels, Goff, Mayfield, Darnold, Cousins, you can argue Nix and Fields a bit... also Flacco lol
On the down since preseason: Rodgers, Love, Lawrence, Watson, Richardson, Young... RIP Tagovailoa's career
About the same: Mahomes, Jackson, Stroud, Stafford, Herbert, Williams, Purdy, Prescott... Prescott is basically Black Romo at this point who, (Romo in his prime) was never anywhere near top 10 due to turnovers, injuries, and sacks... but always made for exciting down to the wire games just about every time... even against bad teams.

Joe Flacco is still the standard for this position.

Big Ben should come out of retirement.

But but but Burrow didn't play defense. That's on him.

I really don't . They both beat Mahomes in the playoffs? Meh, a concussion beat Mahomes in 2021.
