Davante Adams gonna do squat for Rodgers and the Jets?

Rodgers did make a very good throw for what should have been a 30 yard gain, 1st down with time to gain more. Put them in tying FG range and also could have taken some shots at the endzone. Mike Williams fell down and the pass got INT'd.

Twinkle Toes Rodgers looked very disappointed at the play.
He and Adams go way back so hey, i say it's all good for the Jets.

OTOH how the is Adams only worth a 4th round pick?
Is he a known locker room cancer?

Maybe only marginally. A good kicker would be way more helpful.

He definitely will, but, they're a game too late. Their must-win game to win the division was yesterday. They needed to trade for him last week.

The Jets biggest issue is moving the chains. Those 3rd and 5 sacks, throw aways, interceptions... nobody gets open because teams double Garrett Wilson and there's literally nobody over the middle. The thing about Adams is he's the best receiver in the league at getting open on critical downs and making contested catches. They traded for maybe the best possession receiver in the league, a guy who has arguably carved out a hall of fame career (with Rodgers) as a superstar possession receiver, with only the very occasional deeper downfield catch.

The Jets will be a dynamic team and win the majority of their games going forward, but losing the very winnable home game to Buffalo is a killer. They're going to have to probably go 12-5 to win the division. Maybe 11-6 if they win at Buffalo. But they're 2-4 now.

In order to win the division now they're going to have to pull off a road win at Buffalo in late December. Rodgers has done well in late-regular season cold weather games for sure, even on the road (2013 at Chicago for instance), but late season at Buffalo is as tough as it gets for a team with a marginal running game.

Maybe only marginally. A good kicker would be way more helpful.
That's stupid. Bringing in Adams, the primary reason Rodgers had back to back MVP seasons with like 48 TD / 5 INT, will give them one of the best offenses in the league and hopefully set up the run with the pass as well. Who needs three points when you can score seven? A better kicker would be helpful and they're out there.

Sure bro, an injured 32 year old wide receiver is exactly what the Jets were missing. How much more do you need to see to realize the Jets are what they are?

Also, It doesn't matter if you are a mix between the 1985 Bears on defense and the 2013 Broncos on offense, you are always gonna need a reliable kicker to win you a game down the road.

Adams isn't injured, he's been faking it as an excuse to not play and preserve his body for the Jets, obviously. He's 32 but it doesn't matter because he's a possession receiver who has always been one of the smartest receivers in football and relied on his brain, fundamentals, high football IQ and size much more than his lack of athleticism. When he was drafted ten years ago he ran a 4.6. Speed has never been his strength. He's always been an average athlete but a of a player similar to Jerry Rice. That type of game has high longevity deep into his late 30s. He's much more Tim Duncan or Jerry Rice or Tom Brady and less Lamar Jackson or Shaq or Kobe or Tyreek Hill. He's a future hall of famer without being very athletic for a very good reason.

Not everyone can have the Buttkicker, and even he's missed a couple kicks recently. There really isn't an enormous disparity long term between NFL kickers, it's about who gets hot and who isn't at specific times. Mason Crosby lasted forever despite multiple really bad seasons. Even Justin Tucker's gone through a bad spell in his career recently. Dan Bailey was the best kicker in NFL history until 2017 when he wasn't. Tyler Bass is still with the Bills despite pulling a 2011-12 Billy Cundiff. The Jets kicker will either improve to NFL standards or he'll be replaced sooner than later. That's an issue that typically takes care of itself, unlike quarterback or wide receiver where you really can't replace top end talent.

Also, Buffalo just sabotaged their season.... Amari Cper good luck replacing the Mr. productive diva with the pouty Kawhi-tier shy diva who drops every other pass and only shows up to play once every three games, tbh.

Remember when everyone was all like "they won 7 games with ZACH WILSON! Just a competent QB is all they need! Ignore their entire history of being the Jets, they'll be great with Rodgers!! Super Bowl contenders for sure!! Watch out, Bills!"

Rodgers has that franchise hostage and has no prime years left. Jets will be in cap and when it’s all said and done they might get one playoff win out of this group.

Very good player but not great

I respect his play style but elite WRs have to slide inside if need be.
