Spurs couldn't afford to supermax him, but if they offer luka for durant do the Suns say no? Like 80% of the current all stars get traded for luka with more than 1 FRP coming back
Look at all this sad mother ers crying like little es LMAO
How come they never called the SpursWe could’ve offered more
Enjoy your corny Area 51 combo![]()

Luka must have asked for a trade to Lakers. They kept it quiet. When I saw it on realgm I thought it was a joke.
no he didn't
This is word by word a comment i wanted to write.
This is some diabolical, shady right here.
We live in the most ed up timeline, but there is no way a GM, or team makes such a trade without looking for other offers out there. The last time such an insane package went through was when the Grizzlies sent Pau Gasol to the Lakers.
Mavs look good for 2025
Agree it’s odd they didn’t look to leverage for other offers
And Luka is injured has conditioning issues, smokes and plays no D
But we got a 25 soon to be 26 year old and we don’t have to pay him the super max
Lakers have no bigs and defense will be trash …
But passing will be amazing
wtf where the mavs thinking lol. Did they even shop him around ?
I guess they think Anthony Davis is Tim Duncan, LOL.
Can’t recall anything this shocking in the nba in rhe decades I’ve followed the league.
The trade was out of nowhere.
First mid season all nba to all nba trade ever.
Both superstars didn’t know.
The trade was so lopsided.
The mechanics of the trade was so public (mavs reached out first, sick of Luka being fat, etc)
The trade costs Luka huge bucks.
Just unbelievable.
There must be more to it like Luka is about to be accused of a serious crime or had secret relationship with staff member

I too thought about an Udoka situation
Mavs new owners are intentionally tanking that team, only thing that makes sense.
It's almost like there is so much talk of the league losing viewership and the sport dying, so the league pulls some crazy like this to try to make their biggest brand relevant again. Why the Lakers of all teams?
I don't think short term it'll work out, because of both Luka and LeGOAT's ball dominance. But long term it gives the league's biggest brand a franchise player to build around for what is universally considered a lopsided trade. What a coincidence.
Luka really gonna waste his prime playing alongside 40+ year old, no defense playing, ball hogging Lebron
There's no passing of the torch. Lebron's not gonna retire anytime soon.
What the f*ck
The hilarious part is Dallas was the one who called LA. Out of all the offers they could’ve gotten apparently an oft injured 32 year old was the answer in return for a 25 yr old superstar![]()
Still can't believe this sh!t, unprecedented really. Has anything like this ever happened in professional sports before? Superstar at or just entering his prime traded for a post-30 fringe all-star outside of publicly demanding a trade?
I think about all the criticism Dirk got in the mid-00s for being soft, not playing defense, and talks of maybe trading him. Still, the only trade offers at the time you even listen to would be guys like Kobe, KG, or Shaq. This would be the equivalent of them straight up trading prime Dirk for Sixers Webber instead or something. Completely unfathomable
Lebron is probably going to have his farewell tour next year and needs a passing of the torch dog and pony show. Wouldn't have been interesting with AD.
Adam Schefter, who is basically the Woj of the NFL, couldn't think of an NFL equivalent. So nope, I think this is a first. This gonna set y'all back like 10 years![]()
Between this and the Cuckboys, DFW sportsball in general has all of a sudden become unwatchable for atleast the next decade tbh
Rangers need to top it all off by trading Seager for Trevor Bauer out of nowhere imho
