I thought hipsters are the ones who are counter mainstream, which by definition are “against the masses”. Non?
Definitions can vary, but popularity is not always a direct correlation. "Snobbery" is a factor as well.

For example, The Cure is undoubtedly more popular than Winger, and The Cure would also probably be the hipster choice out of those two for "Which band do you prefer?" (This is obviously an extreme example for illustrative purposes, I'm not actually comparing AIC with Winger.)

Yeah but Headed for a Heartbreak is the best song written by either

Let’s see if fox can outduel LaMelo

No one said that. Hipsters prefer Nirvana. That's all.

Also I think Fox tops 30 next game
I'm hoping that we see a "subdued" Fox performance today against CHA because we're up by 40 halfway through the 3rd quarter and he and Wemby both get an early night. I want to see the debut of JMac!

wow y'all should watch this. So basically since Fox turned down multiple max extensions, the Kings made him look like an asshole to not get any flack for having to trade him down the line.

I can't blame Kangz fans for how they are feeling right now. This is their "Kawhi" moment, in terms of losing their franchise player for a not-so-great return, and their looking for answers. But whereas Kawhi truly snaked his way out of here, the Kangz share more of the blame in this one.

Fox is a Spur now, and he's going to be great. Intelligent, charismatic young man who backs it up on the floor. I can't wait to see how Wemby and Castle grow next to him.

So all that crap that Fox got Mike Brown fired was all BS. This just contradicts all of that.

Maybe I’m being biased, but Nephew did us way worse. An MVP candidate coming off a conference finals appearance and had been set up as our next franchise guy that followed Tim and also had won a championship with us already to then ghost the entire team for a year (a year where Pop’s wife was dying too), that was a lot worse. At least Fox is giving answers now and not being a stupid mute like Kawhi.

Yes, Kawhi was way worse. That's what I was trying to imply by saying "whereas Kawhi truly snaked his way out..."

Tbh, Fox checked out after they fired Brown.
20ppg on 38% FG in his last 11 games with the Kings.

Indeed. According to that podcast, the way that Kings ownership fired Brown was the final straw, showing Fox that they weren't capable of building a sustained, consistent winner.

Not only that, but the Kings made it look like Fox got Brown fired, by not giving a press conference and letting the players do interviews instead.

Nirvana, AiC, and grunge in general hit the spot at the time... but honestly I don't think they've aged all that well. Better than Nu-Metal at least.
I agree with some of the genre. Honestly these days I think Soundgarden is the go to from that era for me mainly because of Cornell's voice.

Where do you rank Soundgarden? I need to check out some of their albums as I never really gave them much of a listen as I didn't vibe with them musically, but I'd always heard Chris Cornell is a great, great vocalist. Any other Cornell projects worth checking out?

I'm just watching that Fox video now. I really appreciate him reaching out explaining the situation. I think he cares about the right information being told rather than let speculation float around out there (complete opposite to the way Kawhi handled everything).

I vaguely remember Dejounte saying something like this (I don't remember if it was just after he left or later on down the line). Can't remember what he said, though.

Cornell’s solo stuff is good too, except that abomination of an album he did with Timbaland. I particularly love the cover album he did, particularly the copy he did on Sinead o’Connor’s Nothing compares to you.

Back to Fox. A little disappointed the winning streak stopped at one, still learning to play with the spurs. It brighter days ahead hopefully.

Great video - his impact on the flow is immediately apparent. The gravity is real.
