Thanks Timvp. It was a satisfying win for Fox 1st game in silver and black. I’ve seen this version of Fox torching the Spurs so many times, so seeing him doing it for the Spurs is a treat. I expected this version of Sochan benefiting from the talent around him, like what Draymond had during Dubs better years. I’m hoping it continues as the defensive glue that we are hoping for. Agree Vassell as a 3rd option is much better when he’s not pressured to do more. This team can still be so much better as they learn more playing with Fox and vice versa, likewise when Mitch finally grows some cojones to tweak the lineup to maximize overall output. I’m talking about Castle running with Fox instead of CP3 slower pace on transition, Champ getting more open opportunities in the starting line-up vs Vassell who can create shots at 6th man. It’s a faster race car if Mitch can make the adjustments. I could see a great transition defense team much like early DRob days.

Wemby looked like he was about collapse at any moment.Front office needs a another big body asap.
Very dangerous from the front office leaning on wemby to guard the paint the way he looked and not have another big help
    defend the paint.

Fox with 3 steals. Vassell with 4? Champ with 5?? Dayum.

Agreed that most surprising part of seeing Fox was his passing vision. Loved seeing him zip the ball cross court.

Also agreed seeing CP3 fit with Fox. With Fox, CP3 can hit the open 3 / pass, and DV can hit the open 3 / miss the pass.

Happy for Barlow! Get yours son.

Castle is so much fun to watch. I would say thank god we didn’t trade him, but it’s obvious no one in their right mind would ever do that.

I mentioned before in game thread, but why are we not subbing CP3 out in clutch defensive sets (Traes game-tying shot) when we have the timeouts? So annoying.

Wemby too tall and talented to not get 23/12 53/40/75 in his sleep.

Maybe it's nothing, but Wemby had very bad half. He looks sick. And there was this new guy, with awesome half, looking like he took team over with good effect

So how did Spurs reacted ? They make some plays for Wemby in 3rd, and final play also went to him. Meaning this is still his team, Fox did not take anything from him.

Maybe its nothing, but I liked such response.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to have his usual infectious energy. Getting a win when he had a subpar game (for his standards) is a great sign of the Fox effect

Im moving back to SA this summer after being gone for 40 years and it looks like I picked the right time. I went to a ton of games at Hemisfair (Ice/Moore/Banks/Gilmore era) and really looking forward to seeing my young team progress! Wemby/Fox/Vassell/Castle/Siohan looks great, all we need is a badass enforcer.

It definitely looks like Fox can get them to the play in games. We still need another big though to spell Wemby.

Not too bad De'Aaron putting up 24/13/5/3 against the best perimeter defender in the league.

CP gets hunted on defense so bad. Same with Keldon.

CP has proven he can play next to other point guards before so its not that hes bad there; but still think Castle should be starting

Stats don't really show that. CP3 is in 83rd percentile on Crafted DPM

    Keldon though is 2nd percentile

CP has Wemby backing him up….Keldon doesnt. CP “tries” hard but its clear teams target him all the time.
