Though he knows nothing is set in stone until tomorrow night, Dylan Harper told us today in New York he enjoyed his predraft time with the Spurs and is looking forward to joining the team:
"It is a great organization, great people up and down, top to bottom. I love everything about them."
As for fit issue w/Fox and Castle, Harper said he doesn't understand the fuss is in the positionless era.
“The way to be the best is to play with the best and play against the best. You want to play with the best players all around and be one the guys who can fit in, even if you have to sacrifice.”
The more alarming question as to Harper's fit in San Antonio? Harper said he had a breakfast taco on his lone predraft visit to the city -- and thought it was just OK.
“It’s not as good as a bacon, egg and cheese (bagel)," Harper said, "but it’s like right under.”
Dylan Harper said he has seen via Instagram the mural of him that is already up in San Antonio. His thoughts on that premature bit of art?
“Fans is crazy," Harper said. "Nothing is set in stone yet. But if that’s what the fans want, I can’t be the one to say no.”
