Just wondering if romance or sweet acts are still out there these days with couples. Not so much with only special days, but normally. Don't know if it's been discussed.
Me, I gave her a new flower every single day, never ever missed a day. Of course special holdays or her birthday were outrageous. I used to actually work with her. Noone at work was supposed to know because it wasn't allowed at my job. So on Valentines Day, I sent her about 6 or seven deifferent arrangements. I tipped 1-800 flowers beforehand to arrive at a certain time-frame and give her the suprise, and walk out starting with only one. So she would think that was all.
Then she was suprised he was coming back with more. He did it about 6 or 7 times, with each arrangement getting biger and bigger, from daisies, to tulips, teddy bears, ballons, candies, bigger bouquets and vases and all kinds of stuff. Man, the whole workplace was in such amazement as she was.
Everybody wanted to know who sent it to her, and only me and her knew, she pretended to not know who did it, she wanted to tell everyone who it was, but didn't.I even would ask her in front of everyone, playing it off. It was pretty cool. After work she walked to her car and found what i had a friend do for me, her car covered completely in Valentine Cards, taped all over, Simba, she loved Simba.
other things I did for her,
Named a star after her (starregistry.com)
Wrote her a love note everyday in suprising ways. Like inside her favorite candy bar.
We could be talking about something completely off subject and I'd interupt saying HEY!, and tell her how beautiful she was.
I had Pizza Hut deliver her favorite pepporoni pizza unexpectedly, only I tipped the cook to form the peporoni in the shape of a heart.
Anyhow, I could go on. Anyone else have any stories?

I'll bite. But it's something my husband does for me, rather than something I do for him (because he's not big into romance).
Everyday, all day, all night, he does little things for me. He'll hold the door open for me, or he'll get me a drink when I want one, he'll put his clothes back on (from jammies) to go out to the car and get something I've forgotten. He'll cook for me, and bring me lunch, even from the place he hates to go because they are all stupid there. He rubs my back or my feet or paints my toenails for me. I only have to ask nicely, and he'll bring me the world.
It makes me feel loved and treasured (guess what my 'language of love' is?). In return, I thank him for every little thing he does. I don't take it for granted. I let him know he's appreciated. And I initiate sex with him more frequently (than if I didn't feel as loved or treasured), because I know he enjoys that (more sex and me taking initiative).
That's the act of love, I think. Nothing sweeter or more romantic than that.

I cook, clean and do laundry a lot...and I make pretty good bank... and I had Spurs Season tickets ... Does that count?

I remember last year on Kori's birthday or anniversary LJ did something like that where he pampered her all day. I think he gave her a pedicure and manicure and colored her hair and all that wonderful stuff. It sounded so sweet.
Having a romantic partner is the best. My husband is great at the little things. He always offers to do things for me and in return I never mind when he wants to go golfing. He calls me from work every single day at least once to tell me he loves me. He does his own laundry and he does a lot of the housework.
