FINley = the FINISHER
Solid game by Finley. Not much more you can ask for (21pts/10rbs) in place of Ginobli.
Finley 21 pts 10 rebs
i told you so, mavsfan1000. he could be a factor to us, when needed.
All the haters got owned by Duncan. He's not so bad afterall, now is he?
Well, 3-13 leaves plenty of room for improvement.
Dang, I missed the predicted score by ONE! I got the Vbookie, but I said 96-87...dang!!!!
These sort of games remind you just how hard it must be to actually beat the Spurs at home. Spurs obviously didn't play there best, no Ginobili, Timmy's FT's etc, and they still pull it out.
If the Clippers had Maggette and the Spurs didn't have Ginobili, I think it may have been a different story though.
Wow, great win Spurs. Had Timmy actually hit a free throw it wouldn't have even been close. Wonder if the foot problems are messing him up at the line?
Yes, plenty. But other than that I say we keep him.![]()
Wasn't the last game v. Clippers a 2OT win? I think Manu went for 40 in that one.
Finley's double-double works for in a pinch, though.![]()
Yeah, fantastic game by Michael, but yet again - however, it wasnt as impressive as the play-by-play effort by Solid DHow do you find time to enjoy the game??
And damn ... broke again.
Fantastic games from Finley, Duncan, Parker.
The end of the 4th and ot I thought Rasho played solid, other than that he was mediocre.
Van Ex had some HUGE shots near the end of the 4th.
Yeah, I think that Duncan guy is worth keepin around.
Alot of those FTs tonight missed, were in and out, only a couple times did he leave em short.
Not worried at all, the last two he missed, both rimmed in and out.
Keep it up Timmy, theyll fall most of the time.![]()
...worth noting. he only had 1 rbd(?) @ halftime, finished with 8![]()
Holy Cow!![]()
What an awesome win!!!![]()
How about Timmy's game saving free throws in the end of regulation! Dagger! Dagger!
The atmosphere was electric ! De ja vue to the playoffs!
Rah did a great job defending clean and grabbing that last ( in regulation) defensive rebound.
And Michael Finely in overtime! Dude! He's the man! Sign him to a lifetime contract.
Whoo hoo oosh! Those are my Spurs!

His defense also in the 3rd end of the 4th and OT was fantastic.
Running out to shooters.
Pushing Brand and Kaman a tad.
Kaman is a beast though, damn that dude is a handfull.
Angel Fan is right.
The electricity in the arena tonight was second round esque.
Nip and tuck.
The Clippers are the Sonics from last year, but better.
These Clippers, when they get healthy, are going to meet the Spurs in the western Finals.
Book it.
They have inside, outside.
Their defensive cohesion isn't TOTALLY there yet, but there are stretches where they play FANTASTIC man to man D.
Cassell playing defense tonight was absolutely stunning.
Dunleavy getting him to play D, is akin to Avery Johnson getting Jason Terry to play defense.
They should share the coach of the year honors just for these monumentus feets.
In for injured Ginobili, Spurs' Finley comes up big in OT

CBS SportsLine.com wire reports
SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan hit two free throws with 12 seconds left to send the game into overtime and then led the Spurs past the Los Angeles Clippers for a 95-87 victory Tuesday night.
The Spurs climbed back from deficits as large as eight against the Pacific Division's leader, outscoring the Clippers 11-3 in overtime.
Michael Finley, filling in for an injured Manu Ginobili, had 21 points and 10 rebounds, both season highs. Finley had seven points in overtime, including two free throws with 28.7 left to seal the win.
Duncan was 1-11 from the free throw line before hitting two in the clutch. He swished the first and bounced the second in to tie the game.
He had 27 points and 22 rebounds and five assists and Tony Parker had 25 points and seven assists.
The Spurs were trying to bounce back from Saturday night's loss to the league's worst team, the Atlanta Hawks, and overcome nagging injuries.
The Clippers were led by Elton Brand with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Sam Cassell had 20 points.

Duncan scored the first four points of game, showing no signs of a nagging sore foot. Parker had 11 in the quarter as the Spurs held a lead as high as six points.
The Spurs turned up the defense after trailing at the half and went on a 16-9 run to take the lead at 6:15 in the third. Finley sparked the run with 10 points, including the go-ahead score to clean up a miss by Parker.
The teams exchanged the lead in the fourth, but Chris Wilcox led the Clippers offense, hitting a runner in the lane as Duncan was called for the foul midway into the quarter. By the 6:35 mark, the Clippers led 78-72.
The Spurs climbed back, led by Duncan who hit a runner in the lane after being hammered by Brand to cut lead to two with 5:08.
Duncan's banker over Chris Kaman tied the game again at 82 with 1:20 left.
The Clippers' Quinton Ross hit a 17-footer for a 84-82 lead with 17.5 seconds left.
In need of a basket, Brand fouled Duncan with 12.6 seconds left. He hit both free throws and after Kaman missed a shot in the lane, Nesterovic grabbed the rebound with 1.8 seconds left.
Robert Horry inbounded to Duncan who overshot the rim as time expired.

hey the article didn't mention the Spurs recorded a worst low in FT of 6-19=31.6%. So there was worst than that?![]()
It's times like this I'm glad we got Van Exel and Finley for their offense, the Spurs were stone cold most of the fourth
Give credit to the Clippers.
They played good defense.
Duncan didn't have 1 open shot.
Rasho was a BIG reason the Clippers only had 34 second half points and 3 in OT. After he sat for those couple of minutes early in the third quarter, he came out motivated, to say the least. I was glad to see Pop give him the chance at Crunch Time- both late in the 4Q and OT and he played great. The stop and rebound at the end of regulation were big.
Finley did a great job tonight, as did Parker. Tim's 2 FT's late in regulation were amazing after such an awful night at the line and the free hernia check from Sam Cassell.
Mostly, I was proud of the lack of turnovers-- only 4 in all of 4Qs plus OT.
True too, but that's why it's important that we've got dependable scorers other than Duncan, especially with Ginobili out
Van Exel's play was overshadowed by Finley, dude hit some big shots that kept us in the game
Hear this, hear this:
Tim Duncan is pleading with himself: give himself a chance
SAN ANTONIO -- Even after going 1-for-11 from the line, Tim Duncan resisted the urge to try a new approach to his shot.
Duncan made two free throws with 12 seconds left to send the game to overtime and the San Antonio Spurs dominated from there, defeating the Clippers 95-87 Tuesday night.
"I don't ever do anything different. I just put them up there and hope they go in," said Duncan who had 27 points, 22 rebounds and five assists. "Sometimes it goes good, and sometimes it goes bad, but I just want to give myself a chance."
