Pacers sign draft pick Harrison

The Indiana Pacers signed their No. 1 draft pick, David Harrison, to a multi-year contract, the team said today. Terms of the deal were not released.

Harrison, a 7-foot, 285-pound center from Colorado, was the 29th pick overall in the NBA Draft. In three seasons at Colorado, Harrison averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game. In his junior season, Harrison was named First Team All-Big 12 with averages of 17.1 ppg, 8.7 rpg and 2.9 bpg. He is Colorado's all-time leader in blocked shots (fourth all-time in the Big 12) with 225.

Harrison will participate in the Pacers' rookie/free agent camp, which starts Monday in Conseco Fieldhouse. He will also be with the Pacers' summer league team that will participate in the Rocky Mountain Review at Salt Lake City, Utah, July 16-24.
