New Jersey took the last game 82-75 on Dec. 27, part of a 7-2 stretch that propelled the Nets to the second-best record in the conference, behind the Pacers. With each game, this new rivalry, with Eastern Conference* supremacy hanging in the balance, becomes more heated.*

The Pacers are going through a little regular season success right now, but they will have their slumps soon enough. I doubt they will do very much in the playoffs.
It took a miracle for them to beat the Nets from behind in the last quarter. Not often will a team like the Eastern Conference Champion Nets let a another team off the hook like that when they have them down.
