Roger Clemes will not pitch today

Due to a stomach virus. As shown on ESPN... no link yet.

Hopefully he would be healthy for a one-game playoff tomorrow, if the Astros lose and the Giants win.

This might be a blessing in disguise. This way, Clemens will be available for either the one-game Playoff or Game 1 (and Game 4) of the first round.

As I said, I did not want Roger to pitch on 3 days rest. Since Oswalt will not be available until game 3, I did not want the Astros to leave their two top pitchers on the bench the first 2 games at Atlanta. If Roger pitches in game 1, he wil be able to pitch game 4 also. Backe pitched a great game and evn had 2 RBIs to boot.
