Yeah it doesn't mean jack ..just like ESPN picking the Red Sox to win it all.
this year they don't have andy pet e to bail them out
The Twins won game one last year, then Pet e came and saved them in game two and that put them in position to take the series. We'll see if the Twins can actually take game two.
John Leiber aint no Andy Pet e.
Yankees are toast.
We'll see just how far the Yankees get this time around with trying to replace Pet te, Clemens, and Wells with Leiber, Vazquez, and an iffy Kevin Brown.
If Radke just keeps the Twins close tonight, with the way that team catches the ball, they have an excellent chance to return to Minneapolis needing to take only one of three, with Santana set to go again (and likely with better stuff and location next time).
I'm not sure that these are the same old Yankees.
It is true there is no Pet te this year in the AL in game 2 of all divisional series for the first time in 7 yrs, but Radke is no Santana, and Minn will not turn 5 double plays again, so I am looking for Yankees to even the series up today.
