this was a well played series... well played... i dont think i have many words to post that hasnt already been posted... but...
this was a good game. Congrats to the Spurs for the level of play they brought to the game and I'm proud that it came down to game 7 against the Champs. a series that could have went either way... very well played. great game.
Mavs and Spurs had equal heart..but Mavs had the Depth's edge and Truer Centers we couldn't hang with, Dirk was the man, and in a way I'm glad he gets to advance....I kinda woulda felt bad seeing him frustrated season after season...As the leader of the team, He deserves this.
Spurs lost because they were lacking in the 5...I hope they bring over some help for next season.... and hope to build DOMINATION...Close games are fun, but we are one or two pieces of great players away from ensuring another RING....GO SPURS GO!

A true center would have been sitting the bench the whole series. If Pop is bent to play small ball he better teach the smalls to post up and to rebound. The rebounding killed us more than anything.
Manu was fouled in regulation but you can't call that . The refs had nothing to do with this game. Shots were taken and the team that made them won. Plain and simple.

I understand your frustrations but they were sitting because Pop played ing small ball. The only solution to not having two guys playing 1 second for the whole series is to not have them at all. Spurs would have only one real center called Tim Duncan. That's a very bad solution.
Ok, I'm not telling the truth. The other option is to get a REALLY great center, but it's not very realistic, because they are VERY expensive.
So many ing Trolls, I wish they would all die! Because none of them were here when the Spurs came back to tie up the series
Nazr and Rasho were dead weight, That's what Pop said to them.. If we had Scola or Javotkas or another big who's already in the league who could defend greatly, we could have been at the advantage instead of scraping to get by.

And so much for our vaunted defense! Dallas shot 85% in the 1st quarter, and 69% in the first half? Unacceptable.

I will be happy that NVE will be gone. He did 0, zip, nothing for the Spurs the whole season. We had NO back-up PG. Beno is alright but not very good. Spurs must look for a back-up PG in the off-season.
You root for the Mavs or another team so you can still enjoy the rest of the NBA season. Then you sit back and watch others dive off the Spurs wagon as you write down their names so they can't climb back on the Spurs wagon next season, Then as you look foward to draft day ? you come back next season with a vengenance and you kick some Maverick ass like we came back to kick some Spurs ass. I had to wait 6 years you only have to wait a few months you can do it cuz your a real fan and it will be a very sweet victory knowing you hung in there when times where tuff..........Good Luck see you next season my friend.
You're right, but Spurs need a big who has greater defense than Rasho...Big 3 isn't enough , as the Pistons franchise has demonstrated, you need 4 or 5 threats all on the floor, who can both bring great defense/offense...and Tim without Robinson is where we slid a little ....
That's why Domination hasn't been seen much this year! Our bench was great, but Timmy needs help. Rasho is good/can't get better. Nazr, showed life last year, but showed he doesn't have the brain or hands to step up to the next level......Spurs Org didn't pack enough punch to keep the le this year....and it may have been an unlucky break that Nazr didn't turn out to be good enough to pull through for us... SMALL BALL was at the CUSP, but NOT CHAMPIONSHIP WORTHY.....IF we hadn't played small ball and had nazr and Rasho in for a minute, Mavs woulda handed us a 20 Point league and we'd be down 4-1...Small ball was right there, but Spurs need to be designed to take out teams handily in this coming season.
We need more perimeter defenders. Dallas exposed our lack of athleticism and defense out there.
Also, we don't have the shooters.
maybe the only positive thing of not winning the championship again is:
spurs will get new fresh young legs???
i hope so, the only players at this point that i would like to keep are: timmy, tony, manu, bruce and michael
