Too bad I won't be back to this forum until next year when I'm sure we'll meet yall again in the playoffs. The next time we meet the Spurs we will be the defending World Champions!

I agree that NVE hanging it up is a good thing. Nazr will free up $5 mill in cap room, hopefully we can do something with that. Beno should have gotten the minutes.

I didn't see where we were "exposed", Nowitzki is a matchup problem for any team. The series was a coin flip.

I do think Pop got outcoached, because we had the better team. We were reacting to them instead of making them react to us.

Man I am still proud of my Spurs! I haven't been on here since we went down 3-1 b/c everytime I was on here we lost. (including Sac. series). I am back on now that the season is over and I want to say that my Spurs did great this season. We showed true heart to come back and force a game 7 and have a chance to win. I love my Spurs and will continue to b/c we have class. The mavs can learn a thing or two from us about having some class and winning with class. The Mavs have no heart and all though they may reach the Finals they won't win b/c the Pistons will kick their ass!!! Go Pistons!! IF the mavs pass the Suns or Clips in the conf finals the Pistons will show them what the Finals are truly about. You passed us mavs but you don't have heart to win it all and you never will as long as dirk "David Hasselholf lover" is your star.

You're right, but Spurs need a big who has greater defense than Rasho...Big 3 isn't enough , as the Pistons franchise has demonstrated, you need 4 or 5 threats all on the floor, who can both bring great defense/offense...and Tim without Robinson is where we slid a little ....

That's why Domination hasn't been seen much this year! Our bench was great, but Timmy needs help. Rasho is good/can't get better. Nazr, showed life last year, but showed he doesn't have the brain or hands to step up to the next level......Spurs Org didn't pack enough punch to keep the le this year....and it may have been an unlucky break that Nazr didn't turn out to be good enough to pull through for us... SMALL BALL was at the CUSP, but NOT CHAMPIONSHIP WORTHY.....IF we hadn't played small ball and had nazr and Rasho in for a minute, Mavs woulda handed us a 20 Point league and we'd be down 4-1...Small ball was right there, but Spurs need to be designed to take out teams handily in this coming season.

Man, I'll tell you one thing: Javtokas is the most overvalued player around here. I don't want to be negative, but this is my opinion and my opinion so far was right about NVE, Finley (I said he would contribute in the PO's and he did), TP, Oberto and Nazr (I said last season, that last PO's were his peak and that he will be worse this season, because he lacks some bball fundamentals and has low bball IQ). Scola? That's something else, he could be much better for us, especially at small ball.
About Small ball, I don't think it was correct to play it, but that's only my opinion.

I don't care bout Javtokas really I'm just concerned with the Spurs org. looking for a big, is what we need... Tim Thomas woulda been good to use this series... Someone Long enough to defend, that's all, that's what we didn't have 4... 6'7's and Under wasn't enough for the Spurs to Blink ONCE, in the playoffs and in this Regular season..We were good Enough to go all the way again this year, we weren't comfortably great enough because our lack in the 4,5 rotations.

People Doubt Scola, but he's 24,25?? Like when Manu came in, people doubt Euro ball, but I think Scola has the drive like a Manu, and a Nocioni, and he's a BIG , 6'8 Like a Elton Brand playing big...I think we should take a chance on getting him. People doubting him cuz his Euro Ball, shouldn't because he's an Argentine, and the leader of his team, and with that mentality we would have passed on a Manu. Scola in 07 seems like a nice fit. I think our "buyout" clause missout last year came back to bite us, this 06'...We were supposed to bring him over as another piece weren't we???

You root for the Mavs or another team so you can still enjoy the rest of the NBA season. Then you sit back and watch others dive off the Spurs wagon as you write down their names so they can't climb back on the Spurs wagon next season, Then as you look foward to draft day ? you come back next season with a vengenance and you kick some Maverick ass like we came back to kick some Spurs ass. I had to wait 6 years you only have to wait a few months you can do it cuz your a real fan and it will be a very sweet victory knowing you hung in there when times where tuff..........Good Luck see you next season my friend.
