OD doesn't necessarily mean suicide. He could have just done too much.
Can't say this is a surprising result to anybody. He wouldn't have gone to jail, anyway. It was ruled that he had served his 180 days, already.
Unless you mean an alternate sentence for the one that eventually killed him.
I'm guessing he did too much coke and his heart blew up. If so, I believe it was accidental.
