Yeah.
The player is a small foward is 25 years of age, is 6-9 210 lbs. and is one of the most prolific dunkers in the NBA. He makes 7.75-9 mil over the next three years. He averages 14 ppg, Shoots 47% from the field, 5 rpg and 1bpg. Under Pop's system and if he listened he could become a top defensive player and heir apparent to Bowen.
His current team will let the Spurs have him for any two of the three Eric Williams, Brent Barry or Fabrico Oberto.
Would you want him?
Oh, the player's name is Darius Miles.
Did they tell you that? His current team will let the Spurs have him for any two of the three Eric Williams, Brent Barry or Fabrico Oberto.
No thanks
This is the 3rd Darius Miles thread in 3 months or somethin
If that's what you're giving up, I'd take that riskHis current team will let the Spurs have him for any two of the three Eric Williams, Brent Barry or Fabrico Oberto.
I wouldn't mind having him. A change of scenery is what that guy needs.
yeah, I'd do it. With the two fisted head tap to boot.
He had a change of scenery before and it didnt do much of anything. The guy is lazy and worthless.
He's already had two changes of scenery and he's still a knucklehead who dabbles in coach killing and half assing his way through the NBA.
I'd rather that the Spurs not be strike 3, particularly with the possibility that his contract will become a significant albatross.
I'd do it for any 2 of the 3 scrubbs you mentioned.
Just a rumor from a friend in Portland. I don't put stock until it gets some press so that is why I asked the way I did.
Why not? Plus Portland=losing environment and Clevlend at the time=losing environment with bad coaching. Spurs=winning organization, serious le contenders, giving up 2 short term deals for a long 3 and its worth the risk. But I will wait till the 21st before thinking anything like this.
But is he worth the risk? He's got 4 years and like 35 million left on his contract, i'd rather have Sjax back.
Why not? I can think of 34 million reasons why not due over the next 4 years.
I loved reading one of Miles' interviews, when he said he would come to practice drunk from time to time because his body would sweat it out anyways.....ha ha.
Classic.
He's talented and I don't think he's as much of a Trail Blazer er....s bag as some of the other guys the Spurs have gone after..
But he makes way too much money for a guy with his issues.
He's not worth what he makes even if he didn't have issues.
I'll draw up a spreadsheet to see if the people supporting this didn't support Bonzi Wells.
This can't be a serious thread or is it?
ty contract, ty at ude.
BTW, Bonzi is a MUCH better rebounder, and presents matchup problems that DMiles can't dream of. Even with that, I wouldn't want Bonzi, the better player, at what DMiles makes.
