I agree the game is worth nothing but dont pretend that Dallas is not trying, I could say the same thing about the Spurs who's focus is to make sure we make it through this game and into the regular season healthy.

Im sure if I said spurs where not trying at all either you would think I was full of .

I wouldnt doubt it if Avery and Pop both decided with eachother they would use this game to work the kinks out and play it like a regular game.... without showing the big plays of course.

The Spurs have tried Oberto, Elson and Williams on Dirk so far. None of them have had much success, but it's a good sign that Pop is willing to put Elson on Dirk. Even if he can't guard him, that'd keep another big out there on the court. Overall, Elson is playing his best game of the preseason. Williams looks lost but he looks like he has a chance to guard Dirk.

Dirk isn't hurting the Spurs. Howard is.

If the Spurs would just take the Amare approach to Dirk, they'd do a lot better.
