what are you trying to say Duncan was the reason the Spurs lost this game?

25-12-5 and limited his fouls to 2 to stay in the game not good enough?

IMO the Cavs done a great job in choking Manu after halftime...
Tim has got to be able to hit his free throws. There's just no excuse for it anymore.

The stats on paper are deceptive. Duncan was so stinky in the first three quarters. Pop's coaching strategy was . Manu didn't choke, the plays for the last three minutes were bad.

If you watched the game FT's put us in a bad position very early on, we would have controlled the tempo if he had made 7 of them early on! The lead of clevelands was stagnant around five until the 4th quarter, and both teams were ty. We were just even moreso, and couldn't get a rebound to save our lives.

TD looked lackadaisical (sp?) in the first three quarters, I don't know why. I've been reading about how he's looking to dominate...but hopefully its just beginning of the season rust.

but I don't know why Horry plays so many minutes but doesn't contribute anything...

Agreed, I'm not too sure I liked Horry playing so many minutes in the second half. He's been looking really slow out there. Problem is, Spurs couldn't stop Lebron James and their rebounding sucked big time.

However, once again, Spurs defense in the 4th was impressive. If they could have gotten earlier offensive contribution from the bench, Spurs could have won this game.

Only the second game of the season. Props to the Cavs, they actually looked good out there tonight. I thought all those experts picking Cavs to make it to the Finals were crazy, but they have a pretty good unit there, though their bench may not be that strong.

it looks like Rust. The whole squad looks like they're rusty, they collectively missed their freethrows tonight, with Timmy being their leader.

Hopefully they'll light that fire in the coming games....but yeah, very ugly effort by the Spurs tonight. So far, besides the Mavs game being pretty clumsy and tight, I haven't seen any Spurs light up with intensity to control the game. I'm looking forward to it, Timmy showed some signs in the 4th, hopefully that carries over.

how many FTs did he missed actually? Enough for us to get the win? If he's a good FT shooter he'll at least made 16-19(85%), we lost by 7= 7+81=88 . yehey it's a TIE!

anyway, don't mind me I'm just sore i lost 100 bucks today

it's mainly manu's choke.. the missed trey led to long rebound led to good outlet pass leading to a dunk.. next posession he caused a bonehead turnover by slipping and threw the game away.. before that it's a 2 posession game it

Heh true, I'm only gonna bet on games I know they can win. But yeah, Eh one loss shouldn't make us make a big deal about it. It's only regular season. I jsut wanted to get a streak going...

I'll lay off Pop for his mistakes today though....

I don't like blaming people on our team too long. we just sucked, couldn't get it going and you can't do that against Lebron.

How embarassing... stupid Lebron, has to be all good.

not really. the missed trey was really close..and you can't expect him to get it going when pop keeps disturbing his rhythm by pulling him out of the game

I did not say it after the Dallas game because everyone was so excited, but neither Dallas nor San Antonio really impressed me and tonight showed why. I have seen a lot of teams playing better than people realize. The Spurs don't look to me like a team with a chip on its shoulder playing all out every night. I don't see the great defense that people claim but instead a lot of bad offense and not the kind caused by great defense.

    yeah i agree.

Pops shld start on upgrading his rebounding dept. Last time it was vs the Mavs tonight too!

I was actually thinking if Butler can be a factor here.

So, while we are down you are gonna kick us? LOL. Gotta agree with you on tonite, but last nite was a great game. I fully expect the Mavs and the Spurs to be in the conf finals with a sane seeding method this year.

What does that mean anyway, the man is not a great FT shooter outside of one season he never has been. Timmy played very well tonight, Manu was nowhere in the 2nd half. Plus our bench sucked pretty much all game. Timmy is changing some things up with his FT, now working with Chip but you have to take 1 step back to take 2 forward when you do that. Timmy physically is moving very well out there and if he stays healthy he should have a big year. 1-1, we will beat Toronto and then a back to back against the Knicks should be no big deal they are a joke.

Unfortunately, we'll probably see that the rest of the year and probably in the coming years with the popularity Lebron has.

Tim really put the icing on LeBron's cake by stumbling backward a few steps and falling on the ground like he'd be been clubbed with a baseball bat.

The play is overated i mean Lebron is great but Tim just stood there with his arms straight up, he did not go all out to try and block that shot. Vince dunking on ZO last year was a true facial because ZO got up there and tried to block it.
