Um, did you even watch the game? Barry is playing *well*.
Would have preferred that the Spurs coast home tonight, but it's a much better win, I think, for having had to deal with a tight endgame situation and finding a way to execute.
And now they've won the second half of a back-to-back much, much earlier this year than they did last year.
Um, did you even watch the game? Barry is playing *well*.
same reason i would trade the sauce?
hear ye, hear ye
24 pts 10 assts from Parker![]()
Having TP make two money long jumpers in crunch time hopefully pays off big dividends in June.
Finally Parker showed us that he is a good passer.
I'll have to disagree with you there. Malik got to hack to his little heart's content tonight, and I loved Nate Robinson's shove off somehow being against Parker.
he hit a nice fadaway jumper for an and1 to put the final nail in the coffin
Did anyone think TD look like he hated the world? He seemed to be losing his temper rather quickly tonight. Maybe just a bad mood, but he seemed to be showing uncharacteristic behavior.
Beno + Barry + Bonner + Bowen = The n B-TEAM
Tony Parker 2 time ina row all star
24 and 10.
Easily the Best point guard in Spurs history.
Tony had double digit assist games against the Knicks last year too.
Maybe he just hates Marbury.![]()
Umm.. Barry had 19pts, Beno had 8, Bowen had 6 and Bonner had 5
Thats 38 pts, not bad for the bench.
Not to mention 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Pretty solid play from the bench .
Except Bowens not the bench, but whatever.
Um, I watched Malik get fifteen fistfuls of Tim's jersey with impunity while he and his teammates got called for every ticky tack piece of bull on the other end. I watched him get two bad calls/non calls followed by being T'ed up.
Wonder if that had anything to do with it. It's true that they got away from their inside game, but the refs were blind on that end of the floor for at least 10 game minutes.
I wish he hated every opposing point guard.![]()
or he likes kicking his butt![]()
Parker doesn't hate Marbury...he considered Marbury to be the best PG in the NBA when he first broke into the league.
And rightfully so...Mabury took him to school like no one else his first 2 or 3 years in the league.
Marbury's performances against the Spurs from that period are probably a big reason Isiah traded for him.
SOrry Shoogar.
I disagree.
I meant he loves beating him because he hates that he's good. A compe ion thing. Not that he hates him personally or anything.
When TP makes an All-NBA team, then you can attempt to talk to me.
Yup. Malik got away with a couple of obvious fouls during that 14-2 run. Even Sean Elliot mentioned that the Spurs had to slack off on defense, because NY was getting every single call.
I agree. I think Tony remembers all those times Marbury used to kick his ass consistently when Tony was a rookie and his sophmore year. Marbury was one of the quicker guards who was able to stay with him. I think Tony likes the challenge of going against him.
Awesome game by Parker. And it was nice to see Barry pick up where he left off last night. He's been playing like a man on a mission. Not hesitating and taking that 3 point shot with confidence. Hopefully he can keep it up...and perhaps pass along some confidence to Finley and Horry while he's at it.
