i thought you'd be the last to say anything negative about finley.

    i agree 100% with everything.

watching finley, he looks hesitant and settles too much for the 3 ball and misses those. he missed some really open shots. the 1st quarter missed layup when he was right at the rim sums up michael finley's future in the nba.
You should learn how to read. Kori's been knocking him for awhile. No one has been defending him.

Now, some of you are idiots and thing Finely actually has trade value and will be moved, but whatever, thats another issue.

Even if you want to play Barry as Tony's backup too. That's fine.
This point is not debated enough...why in the does Beno have to be the back up? Barry has played point plenty...passes better than Beno, shoots better than Beno, did Pop ever even see Barry play before they traded for him? Or did he just read stats and saw he shot a good 3pt percentage?

Give credit to the Lakers. That stretch in the 3rd quarter where they took over, they trapped the out of Manu and Tony and then capitalized on their turnovers. Spurs transition D (and interior D) in general sucked, but the Lakers did what they need to do. I like Bynum a lot.

Pop's subs utions were horrible though, Fin/Beno/Bonner's 2-for-16 wasn't necessary. If Fin is going to keep getting minutes, he needs to stop shooting so much. But unfortunately his handles suck, so he is not useful for much else.

Unless Barry is hurting or something, there's no reason why he can't be getting the the bulk of the backup PG and swing minutes right now.

Pop has lost several games for the Spurs this season, IMO. I've never said that in the past, but this year he just refuses to do the smart and obvious thing many times.

I've been complaining about Finley for a month. When a shooter can't shoot, then he doesn't need to work out of his slump in critical moments in a game. Let him stay after practice and shoot 1000's of shots. Or if you want him to get game time, he should have been in during the 4th quarters in the last 3 blowouts. He has no business going 2-for-10 and starting.

Lakers came out with a lot more energy in the second half and we were all over the map. With the way the Spurs bench has played the last few games, we can't really make excuses for this. Time to regroup for tomorrow night.

Well, I'm glad I didn't watch this game but judging from the boxscore, I agree with what Kori says. Duncan only managed one block (the only one for our whole team!) and we got destroyed in the paint.

4pts and 6rebs from our centers in 26 minutes??? That's horrible, and it isn't the first time neither Elson or Oberto has come to play. It seems its feast or famine with these guys.

And what the eff is Finley doing jacking up 10 shots in 24 minutes? Not to mention he only made 2 of them. Beno looks to have sucked hard as well.

Pop needs to be stop jerking around with this smallball bull and our bigs need to play more consistently.

Yeah I'm frustated with Beno too. He's a chucker this season. I know people will say "he shot a lot last year too" but this season his shot selection sucks, and he misses.

i'm listening to paul westphal & the other laker commentators...

they're saying the spurs didn't have anyone to match up with lamar odom & that they were a bit too small.

makes me wonder why williams had a DNP instead of bonner. was williams injured?
