Brown completely outplayed Duncan down the stretch. He was beating him all over the boards. The most life Duncan showed was saying bull to the ref and earning a T that cost them a point. How about you use some of that emotion trying to stop someone or get a board insted Tim.

I know that Sean mentioned it in the broadcast - it did look like a lot of players were having a hard time with the ball tonight. Anybody know when we'll hear anything from Stern's inquiry to Spalding?

Pop has lost several games for the Spurs this season, IMO. I've never said that in the past, but this year he just refuses to do the smart and obvious thing many times.

and you know the "smart things" about coaching a basketball that Pop doesn't?

i guess that's why you're on a message board talking about it and Pop is living it.

I heard (though I don't know how reliable it is) that the decisioin will be made within a week as to what they are going to do. The fact that so many players are getting cut up is really what's putting it on the front burner.

Third period just killed the Spurs. Manu and Tp had 11 TOs between them and the Lakers got 27 points off TOs. Rebounding and TOs did the deed.

You could tell it was the Lakers' night with the way some of those shots were falling. The Lakers deserved the win with their effort.

I really really doubt they go back to the old ball. There's too much money involved.

The Spurs proving that they are not championship material tonight at Staples. Getting outworked, outclassed and outhustled by a far less talented team.

When Kwame Brown dominates Tim Duncan like he has tonight, we better hope we don't see this team in the playoffs because they will beat us.

just shut the up ,you evertime the SPURS lose it gets old so just shut the up

Uh, see your thread about trading Finley and apply your same stupid logic. I guess the answer to my previous post's question is a resounding yes.

Stern already called each team to see how many old balls they have in inventory etc so I think they are leaning towards going back.

that's a horrible statement and a cop out

It's like saying I am not allowed to complain about how ty Incubus is because I haven't sold as many records

This is what makes Pop's idiotic subs utions all the more amazing

The fact that everyone and their mother can see them but Pop

Yes, the Spurs should've hit their free throws, Yes, they should've rebounded more

But Pop putting in all the wrong players at the wrong time, and having horrible minutes management amongst his team is what had us doomed long before we were clanking our FT's in crunch time

Phil Jackson just completely owns Pop when it comes to making in-game adjustments. Unfortunately, Pop often can only figure out counter-strategies after he's watching film of the loss.

Interesting about the balls. I still think Spalding will raise because it will kill their sales of the new ball, but whatever. I hope they go back.

Maybe Finley really hates the new ball, lol.

Its not Tims fault, it was SMALL BALL. Tim was already fighting Odom for the rebounds and then you have Kwame come out of no where. Tim cant block out two guys. SMALL BALL!!!!!!!

I hope so, I hate the way it bounces, so many shots that hit the side or front of the rim somehow manage to make their way in that it's borderline ridiculous

I think they have some recourse with Spaulding because the players are actually getting cut up. For example, Nash's fingers are so scraped up that he has to bandage them on off days and in practice. I think the league will work something out, because the player's union has a legitimate beef now. It's not just the weird bounces or the ball sticking, if a player is getting scraped up, then that's different.

Yeah, the bounces are really freaking weird. I don't understand it, but it definetly looks really odd.

The true reason of this defeat is: bryant, odom, walton(the 3 lakers best scorers) played 113 min combined and
    Tim,Tony,Manu played 94 min.
I mean,it's just the regular season but if POP keep doing that in playoffs that would be so RE ED...

    because tonight we have/ tim,tony,manu with 22/35 shoots = 63 FG%
    AND the useless finley,udrich,bonner...with 5/19...WTF??????

OH and I have to precise that kobe shot 25 times
also did tony and duncan combined

Considering the players have complained en mass, Spalding is going to have to suck it up. This new ball is actually turning into a marketing nightmare for them. They may have thought they did enough testing, but they clearly didn't.
