The ball can be blamed for plenty. Have you ever seen so many strange things happen in a basketball game? How many times this year have some of you seen the ball get stuck between the rim and the backboard? I use to see that 2 or 3 times a year until this new ball, and now I've seen it at least 5 times within the last two weeks. Look how many dunks are being missed. How the ball bounces 3, 4, and 5 times before going in.

yeah thats correct, it has nothing to do with finley.
certainly there are issues with the ball, but everything that gets blamed on it is probably inaccurate. I'm glad they are going back, I thought they were wrong to go forward with it. But every missed shot is suddenly because of the ball. Half the turnovers are attributed to the ball, when it's really more like sloppy ball handling. Missed dunks or easy layups that should have been followed through on are blamed on the ball.
It's got issues, but not that many - it's become a scapegoat for bad play.

I also think the main reason they are going back is because of the players getting cut by it, moreso than complaining that it's sticky/slippery/bounces wrong etc.

I will agree with you about Finley if he is still playing the same come playoff time. You so adamantly state Finley needs to go.... What happens *WHEN* (not if) he starts playing like he did during the second half of last season and on through the playoffs.... He is hardly the reason Spurs are losing games right now.
