The Nate Robinson take down was wonderful.
The Melo punch and run to the locker room was so like it was wonderful.
Nate Robinson got what was coming to him, I can't believe he was whining about the starters in the game when the Nuggets were already up by 20.
the excerpt below was regarding the cavs/knicks game:
His failed dunk attempt in the first half – Robinson tried to showboat by bouncing the ball off the floor – was a prime example of Robinson worrying about making the highlight reel as opposed to making a basket.
Incredibly, Robinson said he would try the move again but only if the Knicks were “ahead by 20.” Great, show poor sportsmanship by rubbing it in.
The Nate Robinson take down was wonderful.
The Melo punch and run to the locker room was so like it was wonderful.
kenyon martin and marbs no where to be seen...
Eh, wasn't that bad. Compared to what happened in Detroit, this was a walk in the park on a sunny afternoon.
Karl shouldn't have had his players out there. Thomas, if it comes out he ordered a hard foul, he's in trouble. Collins with a flagrant foul to the head. Smith and Robinson will get games. Anthony with a late punch.
I'd predict:
Anthony - 11 games
Smith, Robinson, Collins - 8 Games
Jeffries - 5 Games
And then they'll be a bunch of 1 and 2 gamers.
The suspensions shouldn't be much longer than that. I think Collins flagrant deserves a good amount because it was the dirties move of them all.
Is that a good thing? David Robinson was almost killed by Karl Malone and no one even said a word to Malone.
If Ginobili or Parker got clobbered like Smith did, I'd hope someone on the Spurs would step up and defend them. Of course not to the level of throwing sucker punches and tackling players into the stands, but there's nothing wrong in standing up for yourself.
Massenburg would've thrown down.
Elson would step up for his teammates........Just ask KG
the main question is 'can a suspended player be traded'?![]()
Thats assuming dre or najera get suspended.
Doesn't look like the trade is happening anyway.
"I spoke to [general manager] Mark [Warkentien] yesterday, and he said it seemed like it was dying down. I didn't even bother calling him today," Karl told me before heading out the locker room door for the flight back to Denver, facing an immediate future without Iverson or Anthony ... and sounding convinced things are going to stay that way for a while.
damn i hope najera gets traded, i want him on the spurs.
nate will get the same susp as carmelo iimo, that guy was involve in 2 altercations
1 with smith
2 taunting carmelo or tryin to escalate things
that white guy pwned nate by throwin papers at him....![]()
Marcus Camby should be given an 83rd game for drawing a charge on Jared Jeffries when he can running after Anthony. Camby doesn't knock Jeffries down and that thing gets a lot worse![]()
collins goes down on a slap - pwned
knicksfans are delusional, its not okay for melo to run in and do something, but its okay for nate to come in while smith is hold back and shoves him in the chest and taunts him, then runs after melo taunting jumpin up and down and holding his crotch thug loving, him.
"By leaving 4 starters in with a 20-point lead and a little over a minute in the game"
Very similar to Larry having the Piston starters playing in the last couple minutes while they were blowing out the Pacers.
but does that warrant for a hard foul play though??
there are other teams out there that play starters in scrub minutes, you dont see opposin teams doing that, look at the suns for example who play starters in scrub minutes.
there is no such thing in the rule book listing how you should play the game in blowouts, end the game, or play starters in scrub minutes. The person in question here is the coach himself, isiah thomas was the same dude who wanted one of his players to take out bowens legs.
You speaking of the Palace brawl game? Pretty sure if was the Pacers blowing us out.![]()
AJ said that when Nash took him down, not Van Exel.
Carmelo and the rest of the Denver Org. They some es for real. And my team was on some stupid too so I'm mad at them as well. But that was some Hoe that carmello did throwing punches trying to be like me. he aint me. Carmelo and JR Smith.
After all that's happen to the knicks org. why do they have to be involved in bull yet again. I'M PISSED!!!!!!![]()
It's an unwritten rule, the other teams pride, there's no reason to risk injuries to your players when you've already won the game
Thats why Jr Smith got his ass beat by little Nate the Great![]()
the knicks have no pride to begin with, and why should the other teams respect them?
THIS BRAWL WAS NOTHING TO WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR IN THE FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(when dirk kicked the pink bike)
Isn't it ironic that Mardy Collins is from Temple - the same place where Jon Chaney ordered a player of his to go and intentionally slam an opposing player to the ground to "make them pay for it"?
Either way, "Zeke" is the biggest coach of all time for his "they were running up the score" bit... what a pussy. He only solidifies his fest surrounding Bruce Bowen earlier this year... and btw, he is also the biggest hypocrite of all time based on his "Bad Boys" teams of years' past.
You've made this argument a bunch of times - when do the Suns play starters in "scrub minutes"? When they have a 10 point lead with 2 mins left? Everyone knows the Suns give up leads like Catholic school girls give up their virginity (trust me, I know - I went to Catholic school), so a double-digit lead isn't safe in the hands of Jumaine Jones, Marcus Banks, Pat Burke, Sean Marks, and James Jones... the only "starter" they keep out there is Nash to ensure that they get the ball in-bounds and they have a 90% FT shooter out there to ensure those free points are converted.
I watch every Suns game (which I doubt you do) and I recognize when they actually put the scrubs in, which is when the team has a win in the bag. Often a 12-14 point win doesn't indicate that the score was within 6 with 40+ seconds to go - just that the Suns converted on multiple FTs and the other team didn't hit a 3 to cut the lead. D'Antoni is willing to play his scrubs when the time comes, but he's not going to sacrifice a win just to play by the "unwritten rules." Often, I don't agree with D'Antoni's subs ution patterns (i.e. 8-man rotation in December???), but I will admit that the Suns often don't close it out until the final minutes and they might as well keep their best out there to ensure the victory (because wins are hard to come by in the West).
Hmmm two threads with same posts? At least it looks like it on first page...
