you better check all my posts boy and tell me WHEN i ever trash Finley...

Finley didn't win this game single-handedly for the Spurs. There was Bowen, Parker and that last minute pass from Manu.
Team effort.
We have beno and vaghn as backup pg's, which means we have 2 3rd stringers trying to hold things together while tony rests.
We have no backup sf, which means we either burn bowen too long or we put a sg in instead, hence our bad rebounding (not that Bowen is an even average rebounding sf...)
Horry is having a terrible year. I don't know how much he has left, if any, and he is our only viable backup pf unless we burn Elison more than we should and put in Oberto at backup C with him.
Its not like Horry was tearing it up last year, either. I remember he won us a game or 2 last year during the regular season, but he was quiet for the post season, which is where we need him most anyway.
I think our bench scores ok IF fin and barry are hitting. If not, it has no redeaming qualities. Other teams like DALLAS have a GREAT bench...I'm afraid we are going to have to run our first team for heavy minutes in the playoffs to keep our 2nd unit from getting murdered by theirs.
We do?We have beno
It didn't help that Brent Barry was playing like the playoffs started.
well, the spurs do. I personally don't.

how about 18 and 10 for parker? That doesn't suck.
Mavs starters (dirk, howard, terry, harris, dampier) account for 77.3 of their 98 ppg. Spurs starters (tim/tony/manu/bowen/elson) account for 66.9 of their 100 ppg.
Seems like the Spurs have a better scoring bench.
It says on the boxscore he had only one TO
I remember Tim and Bowen and the whole team dropping the ball into the third.
SHUT UP!
Sunfan said Mavs are better!
spur fans are spoiled they think they should win by 20 each game now that the spurs have lately
I think Beno has shown signs this year that he is a 2nd stringer. He just needs to work on his confidence.
As for our lack of an SF, I think that's attributed to Horry's slow start even though that, surprisingly, his rebounding totals are actually a bit higher than last year. One could argue that Horry just needs to find his offensive groove again, then he'll be fine.
The X-factor on our bench, though, is Matt Bonner. I don't know why Pop hasn't given him more playing time, but we need the Red Rocket to step up. Maybe it's just me, but he could really help out big time if given the chance.
THE SONICS ARE KILLING--
ah never mind.
jsut saw dirk get the ugliest ankle injury ive ever seen.
That was painfull to watch.
Yuck....
now seattle playing stupid..
Lord..
Seattle is a funny team, I've seen play a good as I've seen them play bad. Mavs might be surprised, but I doubt it.
