. . . Manu seems to be taking his game to the next level. His stats are looking good: 21.3 / 6.3 / 3.5. He is shooting 54% from the floor, 44% from three point land and 80% from the line.

The only dark spot in his stats, TOs: 3.75 per game.

Cut those TOs Manu and you will have a shot to the AS game!

Cut the turnovers to make the All-Star game?

You've obviously never heard of Jason Kidd or Steve Francis.

Sorry MB, I was on plane last night and missed the game altogether. Also missed your thread about the same topic.

Aggie: You are right, TOs are not THE factor when choosing All Stars. Nevertheless, I would like Manu reduce the number of TOs (it does not look good, 4 TOs per game).

Do you think MAnu can average 20 PPG?

    I think it's possible.

Of course it's not possible. He sucks. Spurs have no talent. Spurs suck. And so on.

Does anyone think manu is going to be able to keep up this level of efficiency, realistically?

If he were to keep it in the high 40 fg% I would be very pleased, and he would average still 15-18, which is where I wanted to see him scoring anyway.

If he drops off alittle in accuracy but gets afew more shots, which at this point seems justified anyway, he might be able to maintain 20ppg...

    Where is Parker hiding!?

That's a defeatist at ude, Marcus.

    Manu is for real.

The only weakness on the Spurs is at SF and overall toughness.

No 20ppg is too high. Eventually the defense should kick in and the Spurs will goto Tony Parker more when he finds his shot. Ideally we want both of these guys scoring around 15-16ppg. 20ppg is unrealistic for either TP or Manu.

But if Manu could score 15-16ppg and LIMIT the turnovers, and keep his shooting at a level better than last season, that would be great. Same for TP, except he needs to be a better playmaker, more consistent/efficient in his scoring.

Having two solid 2nd/3rd options isn't bad. At some point everyone is going to have to accept that Duncan doesn't have Kobe Bryant or Scottie Pippen as a sidekick. Spurs have to win it by being solid at every position and having guys who can do different things effectively, yet function as a team around Duncan.

Hey, spursfaninla, go fvck yourself. Marcus diverted attention away from Ginobili. I merely responded.

Manu is the best. Feel better?

Manu is the best SG the Spurs have had in 20 years. People were creaming when DA averaged 15. Manu is going that 33% better, and has the overall game to go with it, and is not all wrapped up in his "Respect" factor. He knows that real basketball respect comes from what you produce on the court, and his best chance to get some is to play for 6 years with 'Teemy', even if it means signing a below market contract.

    Thank you Manu.

Thanks for the love there, gw.

You are a confused individual; I reread the thread, and Marcus did not say word one about anyone other than Manu, as you imply

He merely indicated that you have (in the past) insisted that we are a one-trick-pony team, and wanted you to admit that your positive at ude regarding Manu today is effectively eating crow.

See, I am afraid some of us here got his point, and your vain attempts to obscure them, though entertaining, are in the end futile.

All that show boating manu does will come back to haunt him maybe result in an unnecessary injury later on.

smackie, fuq off. Good try, but your negative voodoo bs is not going to happen.

Manu looks out of control but he is not clumsy, so I think he will be fine. He is not getting hammered as much as, say, Kobe, who has almost double anybody else's ft attempts...for a back court player, I think that is going to cost him later in the season.
