My question is....Was band on The run going to be a Beatles song if John Lennon never was shot?
I know it's a Paul McCartney and wings song but I kinda wonder if John Lennon was still alive if maybe the Beatles would have sung that song?
Anyone can help would be great and I don't care if you never went to a live concert so Duff your welcome to chime in also.

I don't know the answer to the question but talk about stream of consciousness, mouse. If I get it right, do I get to wear the autographed Randy Moss jersey for a day or something, or is that still down at Action Pawn?
Duff was quoted saying he had Never been to a live show period, forget going to see the Beatles. I always thought that was funny after all Duff would get into some serious music debates with other posters. I will always use that when the chance comes up. kinda like BigZax25 saying he has a freckle under his nut sac I need to figure out a way to use that also I just have not figured out how or when just yet
As for the jersey? I lost that jersey in the pawn shop, the one I am wearing is a different jersey it is a Rookie Randy Moss Jersey only 500 ever made. I would have to sell it for at least $300.00 Since it books $750.000
But you can wear it at the next GTG you going?

That song would have never been a Beatles song. Paul wrote the song in 1973...more than 3 years since The Beatles made any new material.

Back to the original thread. John made little secret that he thought much of Paul's writing was trite and pop-oriented, so, no I don't think Band on the run would have ever been recorded by the Beatles, assuming they would have ever gotten back together.

John also wrote a song that attacked Paul called "How Do You Sleep?" Got some pretty harsh stuff in the lyrics.
