    Why was only Parker benched?
I'm guessing because back-to-back And 1's were scored on him.

BTW, I'm ok with the loss.

I have to say, more painful than the loss was watching Robert Horry play out there. He looked bad out there.
    no he didn't

if anything, he looked like the only guy who gave a out there. he was hustling and tapping out loose balls

if anything we didn't se enough of horry as pop gave up on our bigs too quickly and went back to small ball which will the key to our 2nd rd exit

Funny that other people are ing that he should have played more.

One player I think should have gotten more time was Bonner probably would have worked in the small ball lineup better than Finley at the 4.

This one was coming. The Spurs' defensive effort has been pretty spotty over the last few games -- they turned it on late at Portland, struggled with it in the middle of the game at Sacramento, and they were pretty bad against LA.

Tonight, this team looked a whole lot like the team that struggled from late-December through the start of the now-ended winning streak: inconsistent offense that relies too much on three-point shooting, getting killed on the boards, getting out-athleted at times on the offensive end, and conceding way too many uncontested shots.

Hopefully, its a wakeup call and not an omen.

Parker and Ginobili combined for 8-for-25 Not many wins happen when those two both shoot so poorly. But the D overall was horrible.

If Tim could have scored his 2 fts at 81-80, I think that we would have a good chance to win the game and turn the game into our favor.
Then, the Bucks got hot and we were shooting too many 3s!

Crap. We do this a few times a year, losing to a terrible team at home. In the grand scheme, it doesn't mean much, we're locked into the #3, but we're supposed to win games like this.

If the Spurs can beat Detroit, they can have a nice winning streak before facing Utah in March 30th.

No excuse for a loss like this..........

The Spurs always lose to lottery bound teams after a long streak.

But as someone mentioned earlier, it was a long time coming. You could see them playing worse with each passing game. Plus Milwaukee just seems to make everything they throw up against us.

Thats why I was so worried about this one.
Spurs mindset about game vs streak vs length-matchup challenges Bucks presented:
(earlier post about ending of "tha 'lil streak")http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/show...47#post1514047

    "It has ended, uh, unofficially.
Let me 'splain, DalMavs endofstreak = Spurs not worrying about it even less

IMO, streaks are for the fans.

In that case, the streak, for me, will never be broken!

But that's biased also, so at 17 it breaks, sounds good to me, I hate motivating the compe ion when they always use your crew to compare, compare, compare!"

Well, I was about 4 games off. Go over to the Mavs Clubhouse, they have bitter brew to offer us and commiserate!
