i think you have the games mixe dup

nba live is a worthless arcade whereas nba 2k7 does a fairly solid job of mimicking real NBA
Have you seen the lay-ups done in fastbreak opportunities? Those are ugly. Im glad I got rid of that game.

i only have nba streetball vol. 3 and i haven't spent much time learning all the controls and *moves* ...i've bene thinking about buying another basketball game, one of the more standard ones...is nba 2k7 the one to get? have you seen that reality show where the guys play basketball online for 100K prize?

nba 2k7 is definitely the one to get

go to metacritic.com and see the difference in reviews between 2k7 and nba live, it's pretty vast

and the reality show is the ESPN one right? I love that show! i saw the melo vs baron davis episode and man does baron davis suck!

didn't they stop making NBA LIVE (EA?) for xbox? i thought that was a PS3 game from here on out?
I didn't know. I play it on PS2, and played it on PS3, the graphics look so damn good, like cool muscles and everything.

The Celts have a great young team headed by Paul Pierce. But youth also means mistakes, and their record shows that for them. They have heart when they play, unlike us. I'm not dissing Memphis, but the Celtics show more toughness when they play. As long as they let the kids develop, they'll be better than 20-46 a few years from now. A lot of people say Bowen is becoming a liability, and I agree with them. Yes he can lock some people, but he really has lost a lot of offensive touch and was always a horrid FT shooter. He's like 37 I think? Way beyond the age I'd want to guard the other team's best player.

Oh, sweet. Pretty good idea. Playoff tickets were a to come by last year -- I went to at least one game in each round but really just because I got single tickets, it was near impossible to get a pair. I got 1 face value ticket off ticketmaster for the Finals when they went onsale. Nobody else I talked to was able to get finals tickets from ticketmaster.

Man, seems like we were in Austin often when I was a kid but I've only been there once in the last 7-8 years...for an Incubus show a few years ago. I love the hills there.

Ah, sorry. Random and off topic. I'll shut up.

Just got back from the French Quarter, enjoying St. Patrick's Day, which is a bit like Mardi Gras, but smaller. And they throw potatoes and cabbage from the floats!

It was a beautiful day, mid 60's, sunshine. Went on a tour hoping to see cemeteries, but it ended up being a Katrina tour. No thanks, I see Katrina every day. But it was nice for the tourists. Had a great po boy sandwich with grilled crawfish at Mulate's on the river, and later enjoyed some Red Beans & Rice at the Gordon Biersch, in the CBD, across from Harrah's Casino.

A great day, until I get home to check the score and ... WHA????!!

What happened? How did we lose to these bums?

    God, the Celtics suck.

I thought that they would want first pick in the draft...
Now they're 3.5 games behind Memphis...

i know, i don't want to hijack this thread but one last thing about the tix for the playoffs. if the spurs/mavs matchup, go to s.a., they always have tickets available at face value through ticketmaster...i was shocked at being able to find four tix for last year's series and the game after thanksgiving this season...get someone in austin to buy them though, they have the zip code requirement (sorry spurs fans, it's the only way i can afford to go to the games and take my dad/bro along)

Where was Manu tonight? I can't believe that we lost to such a bad team as Boston!
It's ing depressing, 2 lost against the bottom teams of the NBA erase the 13 games winning streak.

lol, terribly. i scream, wear my jersey, my bf does the same and we get razzed the entire game...although, back in the 03 wcf, when my bf went to get some drinks for us, one of the guys razzing us asked me if i wanted to go to the next game with him, lol....then his friends pulled him away and told him to stop being so nice to the enemy! i love the atmosphere in s.a., it was ridiculous back in november and my dad (a spurs fan way before a mavs fan, he's both but in a lukewarm way) was astonished at how crazy it was, his second nba game after a pre-season mavs game. actually last season, during the wc semis, it was a tad bit scary because some of the fans were really pissed and in our face when we were walking to the car but i understand, as long it ends there at the game, no need to get personal.

anwyay, i'm going to go enjoy this suns loss, have a good night, spurs will bounce back!

Good god was that a banner embarssing loss or what? could the Spurs have run their offense any ter than they did late in the 4th good god. What was the run they had on the Celts 17-0 i think since Timmy was drafted?

I don't know why Bowen got the ball on that play. But TIm and Tony were playing well off each other.

Manu really hasn't played well in the last four games (13-for-38 shooting).
