Bruce Bowen rapes Hamilton and the homers are crying foul...

Bowen could've ruined the whole outcome with that dumb foul.

That wasn't defense, he in tackled him...
    Let me make this easy.

I did not say there was no foul.

I said the call was late.

(There is one 2-syllable word in all that; ask pseudo if it's giving you trouble.)

What happened to Webber? Only 3pts, 2 reb.

yes he did. I blame him too, the only ones who came to play was Dyess, Sheed, Delfeno too.

Not when there's clutch free throws to be made.
so that last 1 FT he made wasn't clutch?

    okay i get it now...

But that was a foul on the Spurs when Billups went for 3. They should of called it cause they called those type of fouls on us in the 3rd.

okay. but if he's sooo terrible and missed those last 2 FTs like Rip we're in overtime right now.

    well....

he's not on the floor for just making FT's he's in there to stop whoever gets into the rim.
the problem milky way is that its our ball and our lead with 4 seconds left

with all the pressure on the inbounds play as it is, the last thing we need is to force it into a sketchy FT shooter.

We don't need defense when we're up 4 with 4 secs left we need offense (aka ft's)

When the pistons get the ball back, in this scenario you ALWAYS give up the two....otherwise you have what Manu did to dirk last year and it changes the whole game. If it's a 2 possession game you don't need sketchy ft shooters with 4 secs left.

A tied game is a whole other scenario, but that wasn't the case tonight

No excuse, but Chris Webber has had the flu. He still stunk it up tonight. And, if he couldn't give better effort, he should have seen even fewer minutes.

Rip has been off with his jumper lately. He has a deep thigh bruise, but again, at this point of the season, everyone has their little knicks and bruises. So, it's no excuse for a 86% free throw shooter to miss both those free throws.

Weird game tonight. Spurs dominate 1st and 3rd. Pistons play much better in the 2nd and 4th. Spurs overall were better and it probably should have been something more like a 10 point win for the Spurs. Pistons played solid defense in the 2nd and 4th, especially McDyess.

Uhhhhh, he missed the second one.

If Manu had gone 50% his last trip to the line, we'd be in overtime.

That was a 3? I thought it was a pass to McDyess.

it was clutch, but do you REALLY want to take that risk when it comes to ft's

who would you rather have the FT line at the end of the game

an 80% and over set of shooters or the guy who shoots 65% at the line?

He was terrible tonight, no doubt about it. After seeing him put up numbers like 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists, performances like this one are a real let down. McDyess stepped up big, though, so the effect of C-Webb's disappearance was kept to a minimum. It hurt not to be able to run the offense through him, but oh well... I don't think it would have changed the outcome of the game.

It's nice to get the season sweep of the Pistons but how much progress did we really make tonight? The execution down the stretch was pitiful

I admit it. I have no frigging clue how the Spurs are going to do in the playoffs against the Suns and Mavs. But I'm not getting a warm fuzzy.

Well it's actually a plus to have to play some grind it out games like this. In the playoffs, things aren't going to be cakewalks. The Pistons tightened up their D a lot and the Spurs hung on. I think close games are better than blow outs right now.

Weird game, officiating wise. Some really strange calls on both sides.

No it wasn't. Billups tried to get fancy and draw contact to get a whistle, which he does too often. He was anticipating the contact, and when it never came his over-exageration just looked stupid.

I hate it when Billups tries to pull tricks like this. He shoots such a high percentage when he just raises up and shoots a normal shot, but when he tries to get fancy like that, nothing good ever happens.

Parker was so far away from Billups that Billups even tried to kick out at him and didn't even come close to him.

They have the tools, they just have a ty coaching philosopy.

Healthy young players in suits. Proven tiness on the active roster. Not only that, the tiness actually gets minutes when the game is on the line in the fourth quarter.
