I replayed that shot like five times to try to figure out WTF happened. It just looks like Beno missed the basket by about 14 feet.
I went back on the DVR and watched that play in slomo a few times - it is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. I think it's the first time I've seen anyone over the age of 5 miss the entire backboard on a 5 ft. shot. If I had the capability I'd YouTube that one for sure.

I watched some of the highlights. They showed Manu's dunk, heh, that was a 2005 dunk! All the momentum. where he went for the finish. And I liked how the defender fell thanks to Tony. He couldn't do anything.

They also showed some of Tony's nice feeds while penetrating. 9 Dimes total.

That'd be cool if James White were to work as another spark at SF. Then we'd get a more youthful dimension with Elson, Manu, going for more Ally Oop type dunks with White.

Not that that's gonna be happening this year. But if things go well for White in terms of developing for the Spurs...maybe?

What talent does Tayshaun Prince have that sets him apart from White drastically?

Hes just more seasoned and longer.

With the aging wings, if he works out in the offseason he will be here.
Prince can hit the three, score in the post, and defend very well. If White is half as good as Prince we'll be in great shape.

So far we have a page for every two minutes of White's PT. We should hit a 1:1 ratio by noon.

    Good for James though.

White is Spur's leader for FG%, FT% and points per 48 minutes and the scary thing is that he is a rookie playing on a contenting team.

White looked great. He rebounded. (Spurs need) He showed his ball handling skills when he went to the board for a layup.. (Spurs need) He brought the ball up the court once.. (>Beno) He stood in the corner...(Bruce Bowenish) He threw down... (Uh?? help me out here) He dropped some free throws... Dude was awesome.
Agree completely! Dude, deserves some more run and could be a nice change-of-pace for us. Giving Finley some rest here at the end of the season for the playoffs and giving us a nice, new weapon that no one will have seen.

White can rotate, hustle, keep up with the athletic 3s of the league, penetrate, create, and throw it down. Uh, what's the problem? Why won't he last in the league?

Also, anyone know how to shrink the size of the White photo down for use as an avatar. I have tried for half an hour and will now admit to my inadequacy in photoshop.

    Ricky Davis?

White reminds quite a bit of Davis when he first came into the league, minus all the crazy, of course.

Good call, I'd say he compares to Davis and maybe Flip Murray.

That manu dunk was freaking awsome specially since it envovled jacko on the ground getting posterized...(at least im pretty sure that was him)

White looked pretty good considering nobody comes in the spurs rotation knowing what to do. Could this guy be someone that could be isolated and let loose? Oberto and him could make a nice tandem Id like to think..anyway nice blow out whens the real comp coming around?

We will win next 5 NBA les with JW playing 1-on-5.

JW's pee cures cancer, but JW doesn't need water.

JW's is worth more than gold, silver, platinum, but he doesn't need food.

Spurs should outscore every opponent for 30 points, that White could play more minutes.

So you're upset that he could be Ricky Davis without the at ude? I'd take Ricky without the at ude on the Spurs...

And Flip Murray is another small combo guard. Murray and Harris are PG/SG with PG/SG height, length, and game.

White is a legit 6'7 with good reach and great athleticism.
