phew... too close for comfort. For the record, I don't think Manu played like total . He shot very poorly, but at least he finished with more points than FGA and he did have the 7 dimes.

But yeah, Vaughn, Timmy and Brent basically won the game for us.
In addition to shooting poorly, Manu sucked defensively. Tony played horrible all around.

But you are right. Tim, Brent and Vaughn won the game.

Nice 4th quarter by the Spurs! We were down 9 pts at the end of the 3rd!

    Go Spurs Go!

Btw 84-81 for the Bucks vs Mavs in the 4th

I'm glad they finally won a close game like this. A bunch of times at home they've been down all game, fought back to tie in the 4th and ran out of gas. Good to see them get over the hump

Smallball + a streak of three pointers = a squeaked out win against a bad team.

Pop gives up on Elson, Bonner and Fab way too quickly. I don't get why we went small the entire second half. We were only down five.

I predicted 92-72 Spurs, thinking the D was gonna be on tonight. The D switch was turned on later part of the game but I got Spurs score ok.
I really didn't expect Hornets to score that much on us, well it's a win.

Gold stars to Tim early, and Brent, Jacque, and Findog late.

Finley also had the defensive play of the game. You don't get to say that too often.

Whoever picked out the "box-out" by Vaughn as a game stopper was right on the money, that is being discussed right now on postgame.

I'm glad we got the win but the team will have to play MUCH better on Friday to beat Utah. I think those back to back games against atrocious defensive clubs made us relax too much tonight. Defense really had to bear down in the second half once they realized we weren't having 35 point quarters offensively.

but yeah I hope Pop kind of calls out both Manu and Tony tonight. They were both soft defensively, Tony wasn't into the game at all at either end and Manu is way too 3 pointer happy these days.

Winning with 3's scares me, we've been doing that lately.
But TDunc's 31 pts. brings some respectability to the game.
It's scares me that we don't choke up treys late in the game so much lately, but as long as it goes along with Tim's big pt. production I'll live with it.
It's like playing for big bucks with somebody else's dice.............

Pop says they hung in there, credits Barry and Vaughn but gives Vaughn more props. Then he touches on Barry stepping up on his ice cold drain of trey.
Says also that Timmy was a real horse, doing all the yeoman work and fighting inside.
Asked if he felt good he said he felt good.
Humourously adds that he saw 2 refs signal T's so he took off!
