Crappy game, but a win is a win.
This living and dying by the 3 thing isn't going to always work.
Is it just me or is the Spurs game plan looking more like an Outside/ inside game vr a inside/ outside game. Come on....28 3 point attempts ?? sheesh. when you shoot close to 30% of your shots as 3 point attempts makes for a cause of concern to me. Am I the only one to notice this? IF i were evaluting the Spurs Game plan, Id let them shoot all the 3's they wanted and just concentrate on pouding the interior. Seems the best way to beat the Spurs to me. Heck,,,Id let any team try to beat me with the 3 point attempts. Ill take my chances any day.
On aNOTHER note, Its good to see Finely attempt something else then 3's. Im seeing him finally make a few drives and even some mid range jumpers. LEts hope its not a short time.

Elson and Oberto sucked ass.Pop gives up on Elson, Bonner and Fab way too quickly. I don't get why we went small the entire second half. We were only down five.
Bonner was just horrible.
Probobly his worst game of the year.
Umm, maybe its me, but I didnt remember Bonner playing...
He played 10-12 minutes or so.
Why are you laughing at Parker?
Joining the hater bandwagon?
Hey.. Why did Beno get 5 token minutes tonight? er had no statistics again? .. he was minus statistics......
Somebody please tell me why? Also, when is the next Pop show? I need to call in and ask this.. I can't take it anymore.....
I was explaining to timvp my hatred for Dallas the other night and how angry it is just to watch them play...
You know.. I think when Beno gets playing time.. I almost feel the same way... It's Luda.......

Not at all.
If Bonner gets , Parker should get as much or more.
I've always been on Parker's bandwagon and will never leave.
That will never waver.
We should call you Amaeche.....
I think he's laughing at Bonner about the season, not just about tonight's game. So I assumed you were doing the same with Parker.
My bad.
Throwing against the wall and seeing if it would work.Hey.. Why did Beno get 5 token minutes tonight? er had no statistics again? .. he was minus statistics......

You once again, never come up with an alternative to the things you about.
Either put up, or shut up.
further proving his intelligence level then.I think he's laughing at Bonner about the season
The alternate is to waive his ass and play Vaughn as a backup exclusively yardbird....
WTF? are you that dumb?
Uh Vaughn has been the exclusive backup since about, February.play Vaughn as a backup exclusively yardbird....
WTF are you that dumb?
Thoughts:
1) Props to Barry and Vaughn. Barry had his best fourth quarter that I can remember. He was aggressive with his shot and his defense was pretty good. Vaughn was scrapping and you could tell he really wanted to win. If they can show up in the playoffs, the Spurs might be okay.
2) Parker was missing in action tonight. I can live with missed shots, but I saw no fight out of him. His loafing was magnified because Vaughn was playing so hard.
3) Manu needs to drive the ball to the basket when his outside shot isn't falling. Repeatedly shooting contested threes doesn't help anything.
4) Duncan was pretty good offensively. He schooled Chandler in one-on-one scenarios. Defensively he was pretty decent, but his lack of rebounding made the game harder than it should have been.
5) Nice game out of Bowen tonight. His D was nails, especially in the fourth. He rebounded impressively ... and even pulled down a couple of contested boards. If he ever did that on a consistent basis, the Spurs defense would be legendary.
6) Elson, Bonner and Oberto did next to nothing. 2 points and 3 defensive rebounds in 36 minutes? Wilt Chamberlain could put up better numbers right now. At least rebound the ball ... damn
7) Finley has hit some big shots over the last month or so. Hopefully he can carry this trait into the playoffs.
8) I thought Pop actually coached one of his better games of the season. It was absolutely the right move to keep Parker and Manu off the court for much of the fourth quarter. He also made a great decision when he elected not to call a timeout and had the Spurs push the ball up the court ... resulting in a Barry three-pointer.
9) Parker needs to come ready to play against Utah. Deron Williams has given Parker fits at times this year, so TP needs to bounce back and be ready. The Spurs can't afford anymore losses this season if they want to catch the Suns ... and that means no more sleep walking games out of their PG.
10) Overall, it was a gutty win and an important one. The Spurs need to keep pushing and take this momentum into the playoffs. It's too late in the season to take a step back.
People in this thread were ing that his D sucked5) Nice game out of Bowen tonight. His D was nails, especially in the fourth. He rebounded impressively ... and even pulled down a couple of contested boards . If he ever did that on a consistent basis, the Spurs defense would be legendary.and that he has "obviously lost a few steps".
If it wasn't for Brent Barry and Duncan the Spurs would've lost.
He who scores most points wins..
Worse, it was after Paul hit that buzzer-beater three over him in the third (after Bruce had switched on to him), when the Spurs had maybe their first good defensive sequence of the game.
Bowen did his job tonight OFFENSIVELY and defensively, as well as an outstanding job on the glass.
I assume you missed the game again?
bowen sucks just as bad as oberto, he is going to end up killing us this year
He was in a big shooting slump. But he doesn't suck.
He is playing great defensively and tonight he was 3-for-4 from the field and had nine boards.
bowen blows though, especially when playing with vaughn and finley
The last four games he's shot 62% from the floor. Hopefully he's out of the shooting slump.
