C'mon guys!!! We need a big 4th!!!
I said Spurs are a second half team. I meant Spurs are a 4th quarter team. Time to turn up DEFENSE and hit some open shots.
If the Spurs can tighten up the interior and start effectively contesting some of the stuff going to the basket, they've got an opportunity here.
One of AI or Melo is probably going to the bench for the early part of the 4th -- Make a run.
I can't decide whether there is hope or not. I just know I will need a sleeping pill, and given that I have to be at work by 8:30, I'm going to have to take it now or be too groggy to drive.
I hope it gets better while I'm out. Come on Spurs make a run. Play some goddamned defense. Drive in and FINISH around the ing basket. I know you've got it in you. Time to get it done and prove you want it.

I hope somebody is paying attention to the announcers before they start that "Manu isn't driving" crap after the game. They won't let him drive. Their whole defensive focus is predicated on taking away his drive.
We reallly miss Michael's scoring.
He's just ing good man. Both he and Melo are superstar players that can pretty much dominate anyone. After watching Melo this past summer I can't help but love the way he plays because he plays hard as and fearless. AI is even better at that same thing. Hopefully the Spurs can get some stops, but right now AI+Melo > Spurs D
Spurs are taking this. They're due for a good qtr. Denver let them hang around for too long.
P<S down 6, my friendOnly down 4...not too bad. Offensively, they're showing a little heart...but the D is still lacking. I might be able to get a layup against the Sours tonight.
And of course they hit another shot, and finish the qtr strong.
Spurs have to feel good about only being down 6.

Keep your heads up Spur's fans, we've been down by more to better teams in bigger games and still prevailed.
Both AI and Melo have played all 24 mins the last two games. If they're on the bench at all it will because of fouls, not fatigue.

Not too confident in this one. If they don't play better on offense they will sink in this quarter.
Get Melo's 5th and make Iverson carry them by himself, which I don't think he can do.
Iverson and Anthony now 17-32 for the night. A little bit better.
Its all about D right now. Duncan came alive in that quarter and the Spurs started exploiting their defense a bit. They can exploit it even more by hitting a few more jumpers to spread the floor, but right now Duncan is doing a great job of taking what they give him and forgetting about the calls.
The real problem is on the defensive end. They are ok when they force a jumpshot, but the nuggets are getting far too many open looks off penetration or layups off penetration.
Stop the penetration and you win. Simple as that.
