Right now I look around and I see radical Islamists running amok worldwide, and I am not seeing enough from "moderate" Muslims calling for it to stop to convince me they aren't tacitly approving of the actions of assholes like Osama.

Hey asshole, quit standing up at your daily sermons and telling your "people" to go out and kill the infidel Americans and the Iraqi traitors who are conspiring with them (you know, the ones trying to end the violence and build their country - THE NERVE!), and maybe the security situation with improve.
My original learnings and education regarding Islam (took a class on it at A&M) gave me hope that there could be peace. But like I said, I don't see moderate Muslims taking a leadership role in their religion and calling for the violence to end. And until that happens on a worldwide scale, I'm not convinced Islam is anything but a religion of war.
