you Padilla!
Grand slammin' Sammy! Winning streak starts now Rangers fans!
Hurley was promoted to triple-A
immediately after the worst pitching performance of his life in AA
the team did so-so against ty to moderately ty teams, but after Houston it's back to getting swept in series I imagine.
I think Tex should be shopped and if the right deal presents itself send him packing.
yeah, we have no chance against Houston
you do realize woody is on the mound tonight, right?
The battle for who sucks slightly less in Texas starts tonight!
GO RANGERS!
that's as good a headline as any regarding these two.
I'll gladly take a 100 loss season as long as we win the Silver Boot!!! haha
i say the rangers match the mavericks at 67 wins!
dang. 8 run 5th inning with five homers, leaving me with temporary satisfaction. but i think the Rangers will still struggle to win this game
and i expect the Astros to stop messing around and beat us silly the next two games
theyre clearly better than us
dang the 5th inning tonight was insane!
If the Astros get 2 runs on our bullpen I will be surprised. The only time I ever feel comfortable with this team is when we have a lead and Benoit, Otsuka, and Gagne are coming up.
garner once again showing his shrewd management skills.
Once the bullpen comes out, a lead is relatively safe. Our bullpen ROCKS!!!
McCarthy awas 3.5 era in May before going on the DL, Millwood has been good (though not great) in his last few appearances. Loe has been excellent over last couple of weeks. I know, against ty teams but it's a start and I for one will take it!
GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's interesting that this team is steadily improving without Teixeira. Makes you wonder who is really the one poisoning the clubhouse. I've been hearing more and more reports about his arrogance and prima donna behavior, along with an absolute lack of respect for Ron Washington. Hopefully these reports are exaggerated and this team will only get better with Tex, but it does make you wonder.
only 2nd worst in the AL now! White Sox, we're gunnin for ya! Watch yer ass!
I actually am with you on this, and have thought the same thing myself. The Rangers have quietly played .500 or higher ball since he went on the DL, and not all of them were ty teams. They seem to have some confidence back and by all accounts, the clubhouse is a great place to be right now. Maybe it is Tex, and if that's true, by all means get a trade done.
Rangers were lucky not to lose this one. in the 7th they were able to get Lamb out and i still had my doubts. nice of them to pull this one out, but i am almost positive Houston wins tommorow. chances of the Rangers sweeping the Astros are about as good as me going out on a date with Carmen Electra
Tex does create a clubhouse rift. i am buddies with a couple of reporters for the Rangers and they were telling me that Ron Washington will tell the team to take pitches but Teixera will just swing whenever. so that is something that i have wondered if Teixera maybe no longer cares
not with garner making badass calls like ensberg BUNTING AND THEN TRYING TO STEAL SECOND. it was a fun game to be at though.
im an Astros fan but i dont get the Rangers at all. why do they choose to beat up on some teams (Red Sox, Astros) and then just curl up into a ball and die against others? (Yankees) or they on Steinbrenner's payroll or something? i also noticed that Roy Halladay has a lifetime era in the middle 3 area and his ERA is over 7 against the Strangers with one career win.
