Gagne with his first bad outing of the year, wish Lidge was not on the DL.

It was coming from Gagne, but I wish it would have been in a blowout game where he was just getting innings instead of a close one.

The test comes now - Tigers and RoSox coming up next, let's see if they can win two series against the best.

Rangers up 4-1 in the 3rd

Loe has been very shaky, but is getting out of jams.

I rolled my eyes when he loaded the bases, like "here it goes again." He has strung together two good starts since being recalled from Oklahoma, so I was hoping for more of the same tonight, especially since they are in a pitcher's park.

Wow! Seven pitches to get Sheffield-Ordonez-Guillen out. Let's hope for more of that coming up Maybe he has settled in (insert wishful thinking smiley here).

Loe is proof that good coaching can make all the difference.

Marlon Byrd has come up big - guy definitely wants to keep out of Oklahoma. I just hope several of the other starting pitchers can have a turnaround even 1/2 as impressive as Loe's over the last 3 to 4 starts.

5 of the last 6 - much better than I would have expected, but let's see if they can win this series and then win the Sox series as well.

Expect to lose the next 3 in a row. Sorry.

Tigers played the day before in Atlanta. Atlanta was the last stop in a 12 game road trip that gave the Tigers one day off and no time for travel.

Loe pitched very well. But the Tigers plane landed at 4am yesterday morning.

    My excuse anyway. Not theirs.

The Tigers were in a few hours before the Rangers.

Bondo had his one freak early inning he's been having this season and Loe's sinker was effective last night. The Tigers didn't make Loe work at all. I believe he had thrown only 70 pitches entering the 7th.

I hope you just jinxed your team using that ridiculous excuse (considering Rangers got in later AND had played extra innings the night before)

    GO RANGERS!
