Leyland is going to smoke a carton of Reds and lace into the Tigers tonight. This is the worst they've played all year.

And chasing Todd Jones isn't unusual. If Zumaya doesn't come back at or near full strength, Detroit won't go very far this year.

Aki was supposedly getting scouted as a trade target last night for Tigers. Today didn't do him any favors but last night he was lights out.

This ump is terrible. In the last two ABs, he called two balls strikes, and one strike a ball.

He's been terrible since the 1st inning. He sucks. I am watching Tigers feed and they are trying to be diplomatic but you get the feeling they think he sucks too.

    They gave Byrd a 3B?

He should thank Maggs for that.

Expect to lose the next 3 in a row. Sorry.
I am usually not one to gloat, but this was a fairly arrogant post. I know its the Rangers but they are still a dangerous team and should not be taken lightly, even by the mighty Tigers or their fans.

Central is going to be a fun race to watch this season. I like the Tigers, as long as they are not playing the Rangers, of course. Though I like the Twins a lot better and cheered for them last year since none of my teams were in a race.

Oh, and is anyone laughing at the White Sox? I am waiting for the next meltdown out of there.

the Twins too. They'll probably fall twenty games out by the end of July and yet somehow win the division. I don't know how Gardenhire does it with guys like Nick Punto and Boof Bonser.

Expect to lose the next 3 in a row. Sorry.

Tigers played the day before in Atlanta. Atlanta was the last stop in a 12 game road trip that gave the Tigers one day off and no time for travel.

Loe pitched very well. But the Tigers plane landed at 4am yesterday morning.

    My excuse anyway. Not theirs.

I'm actually surprised they won, but I think winning this series is a huge test for the Rangers. They're at a point where they could either lie down to die in the cellar or fight their asses off to make it respectable and a damn good building block for next year. If they get the win tomorrow this will have become one of a streak since it's the Rangers after all.

Keep it going Rangers. Keep it going.

p.s. Who in the would have seen Marlon Byrd coming? Dude has been smashing everything lately.

Woooo, foot firmly planted in mouth...

Anyway, past two games have been nothing short of the worst baseball I have seen from the Tigers all year.

The bullpen is toast. No one in their can get an out. Dont tell me Zumaya is the answer either, because thats bull . Joel cant pitch everyday, and the bullpen either loses the lead or barely keeps it every day.

Jones has got to go. Its time.

Tigers have the best road record in the MLB. Their like 3-5 games above .500 at home. I cant understand that.

Won't happen. There's a better chance of Hank Blalock living up to his hype.

If they can get close to .500 then I think the season will be salvaged. But let's not start sucking each other's s over 2 good weeks.

The Rangers aren't going to get close to sniffing the WC, but if they put together a strong finish to the season and be consistent it will be the first time this decade that they have shown it.
