MILWAUKEE (AP) _ The Milwaukee Bucks waived Anthony Mason after reaching a settlement with the forward.

General manager Larry Harris announced the move Friday. The Bucks were in talks with Mason to end his contract since Sept. 29.

He signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the Bucks in October 2001.

Mason, 6-foot-8 and 265 pounds, averaged 7.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in the 2002-03 season. He appeared in 65 games, starting in 58 of them.

Bucks spokeswoman Cheri Hanson said team policy was not to release terms of the settlement.
