The franchise will change once Tom Hicks sells the in team.
He is making too much money running this team into the ground, no way he sells the team anytime soon.
Depressing.
Rangers fans should be happy about this move.
By getting the long-awaited extension, Daniels can be free to buy more Funyans to sustain his sleepless nights with MLB2k7's franchise mode and learn more about his squad.
If I were a Rangers fan (and let's be honest, thank God I'm not), I'd expect a flurry of trades soon.
Pretty quickly Jon Daniels is gonna learn that in real life, if Ian Kinsler can't field for , he can't just go manually change Kinsler's fielding rating to a "99" to fix the problem.
Can you imagine the conversation?
JD: Hey, skip! You can bang infield today, I took care of it.
RW: Huh?
JD: Yeah, it's totally cool. See, I hooked up the 360 directly into the clubhouse and I just screwed around with the numbers. Dude, it's totally cool.
IK: Boss, can you give me Ichiro's speed, too?
JD: Whoa, dude, pshaw...it has to be fair, dawg.
RW: I guess. Alright guys, bring it in.
JD: Oh, and I traded Saloman Manriquez and Edinson Volquez to the Padres for Chris Young and Jake Peavy. Oh, dude...I got them to throw in Chase Headley, too, you know, minor leaguer for a minor leaguer. They didn't want to at first, but I started the new franchise that lets me put any trade through no matter what, man! Hey Wilkerson...here's one of my extra Mountain Dew's...you shouldn't be thirsty on your way to Boston, but make sure you have Big Papi bring me some hot wings when he comes in.
LOL!
*Rangers losing to Yankees 3-0 in 3rd inning*
JD: Oh, dude, not cool. This is way lame.
*Daniels presses pause on 360, goes to options, sets difficulty to "easy"*
JD: There we go, much better! Sweet!
*Rangers win 22-3*
This guy's a joke. I now go to the occassional Rangers game to see opposing teams that I like, such as the Cubs this afternoon.
On a siver lining note, it appears you will continue to be able to buy a $6 ticket at the Ballpark in Arlington and proceed to sit 4 rows from the field right above the dugouts without anyone asking for your ticket for at least another year. HORRAY!!
