they need a bat........and the padres as a club have been known to rehab careers. still, not a big enough bat, though the acquisitions of barrett and bradley are moving them in the right direction. i'd love to see them bring in griffey jr.

I don't know if he's that big of a cancer, but the Pads are only likely to get 20-30 games out of him. You give this guy a weird look and it'll strain his hammy.
The Indians, then the A's couldn't stand him on the team.
He not only gets hurt easily, but hes a friggen JD Drew desciple.
Most of his teammates not named Jeff Kent (who has had his own problems) speak well of him.
Cleveland did move him because a problem he had with the manager, but Oakland moved him more for his inability to stay on the field rather than anything that happened off of it.
