If one of them is Scott Spiezio, I'm going to throw something.
This one surprised me when I found out the answer (although it probably shouldn't have):
Of all players who have appeared in at least one game since 2000, which player has played on the most championship teams during the course of his career?
Hints: (1) it's actually a tie involving only 2 players; (2) each was a major contributor on all of his championship teams.
It's not that hard, but with all of the recent talk about who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and media types discounting Biggio and Thomas for their lack of championship pedigrees, the answer was somewhat interesting.
If one of them is Scott Spiezio, I'm going to throw something.
Do you mean like on different teams or could it be the same team?
If it's the same team I'll go with Paul O'Neill, not sure what year he retired though.
EDIT: He retired after the Diamondbacks WS loss in '01, could be him.
It depends on what FWD means by "championship teams." If it's the WS champion, then it's...
Yankees
Diamondbacks
Angels
Marlins
Red Sox
White Sox
Cardinals
If he means pennant winners, then add in...
Mets
Giants
Astros
Tigers
I think he means Def. 1, which means Spiezio was on two WS champion teams.
I mean World Series champions -- I'm a Spurs fan, after all, and anything other than the whole enchilada isn't a championship, right?
The players could have been on the same team at some point (in other words, they could have common championships)
Paul O'Neill is right. (90 CIN, 96 NYY, 98 NYY, 99 NYY, 00 NYY).
There is another -- and it isn't Speizio or Eckstein, who each have 2 rings.
Ah, I thought you meant just WS champs since 2000, too.
No, tough question to word, I guess. I meant players who appeared in games before and after 2000 who've won the most les.
Gotta be a Yankee (probably Jeter or Bernie).
My friend suggests Jose Vizcaino.
Nope -- Jeter and Bernie (along with Tino Martinez, Andy Pet te, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, and Ramiro Mendoza) have 4 rings.
So it's more than 4 rings...
An interesting guess, but wrong, too.
O'Neill has 5 -- the other guy is tied with him.
Should we wait to see if anyone else wants to play?
Okay, give it the evening.
I'm just getting frustrated doing this research remotely from a slow work computer to my fast laptop.
Hmmm ... I'm thinking he was probably one of those fire sale Marlins ...
Wait, is it David Cone? I think he was on all the Yankee championship teams that O'Neil was on and the Blue Jays.
Maybe not.
Its got to be Cone
(93 TOR, 96 NYY, 98 NYY, 99 NYY, 00 NYY)
If someone had asked me that this morning, I wouldn't have had a clue that Cone and O'Neill were the right answers -- and I'm a baseball trivia junkie.

Not sure but looks like he might have 5. Depending on if he finished all those seasons.
Good guess.
I was a hardcore baseball fan until my Expos died. Now I'm more of a casual fan with no rooting interests other than rooting against the Yankees
You must be extastic now then. 37-41. Kinda feel bad for Torre though. He seems to be a nice enough guy.
