Makes sense to me that if the Spurs sign a big they will probably cut a big.

    Marks, Massenburg or Horry...

Horry can defend the perimeter and he's got 3 point range...so I don't think he'd be the one that gets cut, plus I don't think Pop wants the guy he called the best Duncan defender in the NBA going to Minny or Sac.

So that means Marks or Massenburg...I have absolutely no clue about Marks' game...but I think Pop has made commitments to Marks in the past so I don't think he'll cut him for that reason.

Looks to me like Massenburgh would be the odd man out, he's the oldest guy on the team, and anything he can do Malone can do better. Much better. Probably Marks too, but like I say, I haven't seen Marks enough..and there's one other thing, Massenburg made a lot of noise last season when he wasn't getting enough minutes, I don't think he's going to ride the IR as peacefully as Marks will.

I think it will be Massenburg that gets cut.

    Good point. Probably Wilks then.

Still seems like a risky move, considering TP's injury and Barry's inconsistency as of late. It's easy to hope that they might work to fix each other, but if that fails to happen, Beno is going to have a heavy load to carry at the point.

And if Beno should break again, we'd have to play Tim at the point and all would break loose.
Beno is already playing ahead of Wilks and Barry has played point in his career and could easily be the third PG in rotation. So I don't think it's too risky.

No one.. You keep Malone Retired.
Malone will play somewhere. Better here than Dallas, Houston, Phoenix or Seattle! Signing him guarntees he can't play against us

I'm confused. Is it definite that Malone will be joining the Spurs? Or is it simply speculation?
