    Hate to say it, but the Spurs need better compe ion, lest they not hone their skills efficiently enough. Much as I am loathe to admit it (and writhing in pain contemplating it), I am almost hoping for a loss to the Mavs. I care more about beating Houston right now. I expected better in this game.

    Actually, Kobe was a existent in the first half. Nothing this quarter, but I expect he'll put up about 10 shots in the fourth.

    On the defensive end, I noticed him. But 6 points in the first half??

    I think he's not playing the role of carrying the team offensively. The Spurs defense/offense has something to do iwth it in his mind probably.
