Why the are you getting emotional over my personal opinion? I don't give a how much the Mavs have won by before and I also don't give a whether you're right or not. Spurs by 10+ and I don't care that much to wager anything.

Not sure what to think of this. Looks like your sole determining factor for deciding the better team is by counting championships. Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

Luckily for the Spurs they only had to go through Dallas 2 times in the playoffs to get to the Finals. ONe time they made it when Dirk missed 3 games and the other time they lost.....yeah that makes the spurs better than the Mavs
Not sure why this has gone on for 3 pages....I can sum up the aftermath thusly:
The winning teams fans: "scoreboard es, we own you"
The losing teams fans: "its just one regular season game, doesn't matter."
Why don't you take that over to Nobody Gives a City, Population You. It would be just like a Suns troll to rely on a statistician with no feel for the game to advance his arguments. Mavs-Spurs is pretty much the best rivalry going right now. Their last playoff series is definitely one for the ages.

Given the way the two teams are playing respectively right now, I'd have to say the Spurs will probably take this one. They definitely look a lot sharper this early in the season. Dallas looks disjointed right now.
Do you also think that Superbowl victories do not determine the best football team?

No, hat, but I also don't think that you take into consideration past successes when two teams meet in new seasons. By your rationale, the Lakers, Celtics, Yankees, Cowboys, 49ers, Steelers, etc. would automatically be the favorites over ANY team they should match up with. Is that the way it is? It isn't? I just hope Dirk and the boys have been saving it and girding up their loins for tomorrow night. The way we've played against Atlanta, Golden State, Portland and Philly won't cut it. Plus, I don't want to be 5-3 and almost 3 games behind so early.

Someone needs to do some research. Always seems like a Mavs fan, or a Pistons fan, or a Lakers fan... someone that has some kind of hated tie to being drummed by us.. starting game threads really trying to start us up.
I don't know what the outcome will be. I know Pop won't show his colors. He isn't going to throw a playoff type lineup in there at any point against the Mavs, consider it respect if you want. But if it causes a loss then so be it. Just know the Spurs take these games not only to try to win, same time not giving info or budging from the perch at all.
Not an excuse to lose though. But I wouldn't have it any other way this early in the year.
