Pathetic effort so far tonight. I would say I'm surprised but the Mavs always seem to kill us in the regular season. Tim looked like he actually gave a out there in the 2nd. Manu always gives a . NOBODY else has showed up thus far. Pathetic D is the biggest problem right now. The Spurs might as well stay on the other end of the court and save themselves some energy if the they're going to play pathetic D like this.

Remember when the Spurs would go 3-1 against the Lakers during the regular season in '01 and '02. Did it matter? Did Home-court matter?
There is absolutely no question the Mavs are playing like WE should! Good defense, impecable offense (well... semi-impecable). Starting this whole ref bull would be a disservice to the quality of basketball Dallas is playing right now.
Trust me, I hate them, but right now they are out playing us in every department. This is something Pop is going to have to figure a solution to, RAPIDO!

I think last year we got a lot angrier about these kind of losses in match ups, now 4 championships has kinda taken that mentality out of early regular season losses for fans.. Also Dallas' meltdown last year helped too.

I just noticed you were a suns fan, heh.I'm not one of the whining Suns fans on this board. Just thought it was funny that a few Spurs fans were ing and complaining (the very thing they accuse Suns fans of) about the refs and the dispairity in this game.
yeah, i know it's in every game thread so, of course the opposing team will comment on FT disparity. It's a pretty hypocritical pasttime when your team is losing during Free throw fests.
Mavs are playing more aggressive than our team though. But still some of those calls were giftwrapped.

I'm not saying the world is over, I'm saying, we obviously have some problems matching up to the Mavs, more so than any other team. This game should serve well to spot those weaknesses and fix them in the next 4 months
The Spurs need to trade some players to the Warriors to make sure Golden State makes the playoffs.
If Spurs loses this one, I'll really start cheering for Golden State during the season, even when they're up against us. Let those dwarfs finish these Mavericks...
When it comes down to it, ever since this era began c.2000, the mavericks rely on free throw shooting contests to beat us. There have been exceptions, and they have beat the ever living out of us some times, but for the most part, games come down to this.
Not all the times do the FT shooting contests begin in the first quarter, but this bodes horribly for the spurs. All we can do is hope the refs want to keep some ratings and swallow their ing whistles.
BTW, that out of bounds call on Duncan was sheer garbage.

In all seriousness, we are just getting outplayed. It's that simple. The Mavs are a tough matchup. The reason they beat us is because they force us into jumpshooting mode. If we could do the same for them, we'd be fine.
